Lewd Comedy
These rely on over-the-top or gross-out humor. Really not my cup of tea most of the time, but there are a few passable titles in here

- DirectorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsMarlon WayansShawn WayansBusy PhilippsTwo disgraced FBI agents go way undercover in an effort to protect hotel heiresses the Wilson sisters from a kidnapping plot.Definitely my favorite Wayans brothers movie. I didn't like it at first, but over time I eventually ended up rewatching it like seven times so it more or less grew on me. Terry Crews was great as well
- DirectorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsAnna FarisMarlon WayansAntony AckerFour teens are tricked by a professor into visiting a haunted house for a school project.By far my favorite of the franchise; it was the only thing I had seen David Cross (Tobias from Arrested Development) in aside from the show, and I really liked the rest of the cast. I really didn't like the caretaker guy (he was a bit too gross), but the rest of the movie was decent for what it was
- DirectorLou AdlerTommy ChongStarsCheech MarinTommy ChongStrother MartinTwo stoners unknowingly smuggle a van - made entirely of marijuana - from Mexico to L.A., with incompetent Sgt. Stedenko on their trail.A veritable stoner comedy with some good points but overall a bit lowbrow for me. I definitely laughed and I enjoyed seeing the chemistry between Cheech and Chong, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it
Watched April 3rd, 2020 - DirectorSteve CarrStarsKevin JamesKeir O'DonnellJayma MaysWhen a shopping mall is taken over by a gang of organized crooks, it's up to a mild-mannered security guard to save the day. This had some whimsy and was a relatively inoffensive watch; I don't know why it was sorted into Lewd Comedy, but I figured I'd leave it
- DirectorDavid ZuckerStarsAnna FarisCharlie SheenRegina HallCindy must investigate mysterious crop circles and video tapes, and help the President in preventing an alien invasion.I thought the rap battle scene was pretty funny when I was younger, though in retrospect it is pretty alarming (though I guess it was bold to not shy away from poking fun at the KKK). The aliens were a fun addition
- DirectorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsAnna FarisJon AbrahamsMarlon WayansA year after disposing of the body of a man they accidentally killed, a group of dumb teenagers are stalked by a bumbling serial killer. Not my favorite, but it led to the other two, so it was all right. The opening scene was funny from what I remember
- DirectorDanny LeinerStarsJohn ChoKal PennEthan EmbryA Korean-American office worker and his Indian-American stoner friend embark on a quest to satisfy their desire for White Castle burgers. This is like modern stoner comedy. It was all right
- DirectorDennis DuganStarsAdam SandlerSalma HayekKevin JamesAfter their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend. This was basically the cast just cashing in on their ensemble, which I can appreciate. Definitely leagues better than the sequel at any rate
- DirectorJohn LandisStarsJohn BelushiKaren AllenTom HulceAt a 1962 college, Dean Vernon Wormer is determined to expel the entire Delta Tau Chi Fraternity, but those troublemakers have other plans for him. This was one of the first successful "gross-out" films, so while it's pretty significent for cinematic history, I am definitely not the target audience. It seems mostly nostalgic for college students/young adults in the '60s or '70s
Watched February 11th, 2017 - DirectorEvan GoldbergSeth RogenStarsJames FrancoJonah HillSeth RogenSix Los Angeles celebrities are stuck in James Franco's house after a series of devastating events just destroyed the city. Inside, the group not only have to face the apocalypse, but themselves.I remember liking the premise of the cast playing fictionalized versions of themselves, but some of the humor was unnecessarily crude. Granted I haven't seen it in quite some time, but I'm not eager to rewatch it.
- DirectorJeff TremaineStarsJohnny KnoxvilleJackson NicollGregorio86-year-old Irving Zisman takes a trip from Nebraska to North Carolina to take his 8 year-old grandson, Billy, back to his real father.Watched in theaters
The only redeeming scene of this movie was when the biker gang almost whooped the kid's "father", and that wasn't even comedy - DirectorDennis DuganStarsDavid SpadeJon HederRob SchneiderA trio of guys try and make up for missed opportunities in childhood by forming a three-player baseball team to compete against standard children's Little League squads.Watched in theaters
More inappropriate than I was expecting. It was okay, I liked the cast - DirectorRichard LinklaterStarsBilly Bob ThorntonGreg KinnearMarcia Gay HardenA grizzled little league coach tries to turn his team of misfits into champs. The cast was okay, and I liked the boy named Kelly because it was the first time I had ever scene a traditionally female name for a male character (aside from "A Boy Named Sue")
- DirectorChristopher ErskinStarsCedric The EntertainerShannon ElizabethShad MossBuckle up for the wildest road trip of the year. A comedy adventure about a misfit family trying to survive outrageous obstacles (including one another) on a cross-country trek to their annual family reunion.I think this was trash, but I rewatched it a lot so it couldn't have been that bad for young me
- DirectorJason FriedbergAaron SeltzerStarsKal PennJennifer CoolidgeFred WillardA spoof on previous years' epic movies (The Da Vinci Code (2006), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) + 20 more), TV series, music videos and celebs. 4 orphans are on an epic adventure.I watched this quite a bit when I was younger, but I don't know why. I think it ruined Narnia for me though. Not a "great film" by any means but I have fond memories of it for the most part
- DirectorAndy FickmanStarsKevin JamesRaini RodriguezEduardo VerásteguiAfter six years of keeping our malls safe, Paul Blart has earned a well-deserved vacation. He heads to Las Vegas with his teenage daughter before she heads off to college. But safety never takes a holiday and when duty calls, Blart answers. This was really bad; the whimsy of the first one was gone and it was more depressing or gross-out humor
- DirectorGeorge KucharStarsDonna KernessGeorge KucharStella KucharA independent director is faced with artistic difficulty when he asks his actresses to show nudity.Extremely short, but offered a mildly interesting take on sexual frustration and loneliness.
Watched January 27th, 2019 - DirectorDavid ZuckerStarsAnna FarisRegina HallCraig BierkoCindy finds out the house she lives in is haunted by a little boy and goes on a quest to find out who killed him and why. Also, Alien "Tr-iPods" are invading the world and she has to uncover the secret in order to stop them.Written 10/31/23: I thought this was drastically inferior to the first three in basically every way, but I think Brenda survives in this one and I enjoyed that?
- DirectorDennis DuganStarsAdam SandlerKevin JamesChris RockAfter moving his family back to his hometown to be with his friends and their kids, Lenny finds out that between old bullies, new bullies, schizo bus drivers, drunk cops on skis, and four hundred costumed party crashers sometimes crazy follows you.A cash grab; not the worst movie I've ever seen, but pretty close
- DirectorJohn WatersStarsDivineDavid LocharyMary Vivian PearceNotorious Baltimore criminal and underground figure Divine goes up against a sleazy married couple who make a passionate attempt to humiliate her and seize her tabloid-given title as "The Filthiest Person Alive".Watched on a Disturbing Movie Night. Granted this led to countless in-jokes and references for our group, but some of the scenes actually made us (or at least me) gag (the first and only film to provoke that kind of response from most of us haha)
- DirectorJason FriedbergAaron SeltzerStarsCarmen ElectraVanessa LacheyNicole ParkerOver the course of one evening, an unsuspecting group of twenty-somethings find themselves bombarded by a series of natural disasters and catastrophic events. This was horrible. Went in expecting something like "Epic Movie" and was only disappointed
- DirectorJohn PutchStarsBug HallKevin M. HortonBrandon HardestyTen years after the first American Pie movie, three new hapless virgins discover the Bible hidden in the school library at East Great Falls High.Really nothing worthwhile, it's arguably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was obscene just to be obscene, and I would not recommend it
