- DirectorMarc ForsterStarsBrad PittMireille EnosDaniella KerteszFormer United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop a zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatens to destroy humanity itself. An enjoyable film, but not much more. Has a copy-paste format but still manages to be entertaining somehow. Definitely a good movie, amazing first 20 minutes, but there is nothing mindblowing about it. 7/10.
- DirectorSylvester StalloneStarsSylvester StalloneJason StathamJet LiA CIA operative hires a team of mercenaries to eliminate a Latin dictator and a renegade CIA agent. This film has action, and when I say that, I am certainly not joking. It got action. And with that, it was a really enjoyable film. However, admittedly it does take itself way too seriously. But, it has lots of the things that a man such as myself at times needs to have a really good time. 6/10.
- DirectorSimon WestStarsSylvester StalloneLiam HemsworthRandy CoutureMr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat. This is where *beep* gets real. Great action, awesome cast, perfect cameos and guest-appearances, and a plot that does not get in the way of what the tries to accomplish. Easily, 7/10
- DirectorSam MendesStarsTom HanksTyler HoechlinPaul NewmanA mob enforcer's son in 1930s Illinois witnesses a murder, forcing him and his father to take to the road, and his father down a path of redemption and revenge. As much as the plot did not really amuse me too much, it is still undeniably a visual masterpiece. This is a movie that should not be watched for the story, but simply for the viewer to see something amazingly beautiful. 6/10.
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsLeonardo DiCaprioMatt DamonJack NicholsonAn undercover cop and a mole in the police attempt to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in South Boston. This movie has everything I would want, for real. Great characters, great acting, really cool and exciting mafia/cops story, and action. Really, it blew my mind. 10/10.
- DirectorAndrew DominikStarsBrad PittRay LiottaRichard JenkinsJackie Cogan is an enforcer hired to restore order after three dumb guys rob a Mob protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse.A few good moments here and there, but when you do not even know a single character name as the credits roll and really wonder what the actual purpose of the plot was, it can rarely be considered anything else but a failure. 5/10.
- DirectorAlex De RakoffStarsClint KoroanFredi 'Kruga' Nwaka50 CentNick's borrowed money from a loan shark. He's 4 weeks behind. He gets 24 hours to come up with GBP100,000. His mom's a hostage.A really enjoyable film that is perfect for a rainy day and an immensely entertaining rental. 7/10.
- DirectorAsger LethStarsSam WorthingtonElizabeth BanksJamie BellAs a police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop, the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion.Meh. Just meh, nothing more, nothing less. Bland characters, a story that is little more than an excuse for stealth suspension, and a protagonist who mumbles so much that one cannot even distinguish his a's from p's. 5/10.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsDaniel Day-LewisSally FieldDavid StrathairnAs the Civil War rages on, U.S President Abraham Lincoln struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on his decision to emancipate the slaves.Just perfect. This is just a perfect example of a movie that is very good, at very much. Great acting, excellent characterisation of Lincoln, splendid script, superb direction. If not for a ridiculously large cast, it would be a full score. 9/10.
- DirectorJohn WooStarsChow Yun-FatTony Leung Chiu-waiTeresa MoA tough-as-nails cop teams up with an undercover agent to shut down a sinister mobster and his crew. One of my personal favourites, and for good reason. The action is amazing and some of the most well-choreographed I have ever seen anywhere, if not the best. It is a pure joy-ride. 8/10.
- DirectorJohn WooStarsChow Yun-FatDanny LeeSally YehA disillusioned assassin accepts one last hit in hopes of using his earnings to restore vision to a singer he accidentally blinded. This one combines some great action scenes with a pretty good story and a great main character, and yet again Chow Yun Fat is amazing. 8/10.
- DirectorRingo LamStarsChow Yun-FatYueh SunDanny LeeAn undercover cop infiltrates a gang of thieves who plan to rob a jewelry store.Very enjoyable, but disappointing. Nevertheless a great one. 7/10.
- DirectorOliver StoneStarsCharlie SheenMichael DouglasTamara TunieAn impatient young stockbroker is willing to do anything to get to the top, including trading on illegal inside information taken through a ruthless, greedy corporate raider who takes the youth under his wing.A mostly great script, an interesting story, and overall very stylistic. Has great acting. As much as it is a great film, it has also created iconic characters and is a true classic, definitely a must-watch for any movie lover. There are flaws, but the good by far outweighs the bad. 8/10
- DirectorWei LoStarsBruce LeeNora MiaoJames TienA young man seeks vengence for the death of his teacher.Surprisingly good, actually. Excellent choreography in the fights all the way through, and ridiculously enjoyable. Of course, the script and story could have used some work, but in all honesty, who the hell watches a Bruce Lee film for the plot!? 7/10.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsUma ThurmanDavid CarradineDaryl HannahAfter awakening from a four-year coma, a former assassin wreaks vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her.Can it get better? Seriously, can it? Extremely skillfully directed, has great action scenes, is visually nothing but beautiful, and has one of the most badass soundtracks of all time with great Japanese tracks. Why not add likeable characters (Lucy Liu as O-ren Ishii), shall we? Oh, and one more thing: a marvelous backstory animated by none other than Production I.G in all of their glory (seriously, words cannot even desribe how heavenly it was). 10/10.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsUma ThurmanDavid CarradineMichael MadsenThe Bride continues her quest of vengeance against her former boss and lover Bill, the reclusive bouncer Budd, and the treacherous, one-eyed Elle. While arguably better in terms of plot, it lacks much of the style that made the first movie so great. Still good, but not on levels with the badassery of vol. 1.
- DirectorBoaz YakinStarsJason StathamCatherine ChanChris SarandonMei, a young girl whose memory holds a priceless numerical code, finds herself pursued by the Triads, the Russian mob, and corrupt NYC cops. Coming to her aid is an ex-cage fighter whose life was destroyed by the gangsters on Mei's trail.Did someone say average action movie with poor and bland characters, a weak script and plot, all for the cost of one short 90 minute long movie with no emotional impact? Well, if you did, here you go. 5/10
- DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsHugh JackmanJake GyllenhaalViola DavisWhen Keller Dover's daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts.Has a strong theme present throughout the whole movie, and the investigator is a truly charismatic character. Besides, it's very intriguing and exciting. 9/10
- DirectorFrank DarabontStarsTim RobbinsMorgan FreemanBob GuntonOver the course of several years, two convicts form a friendship, seeking consolation and, eventually, redemption through basic compassion.Perfect in every way. Just wow. 10/10
- DirectorBibo BergeronDon PaulJeffrey KatzenbergStarsKevin KlineKenneth BranaghRosie PerezTwo swindlers get their hands on a map to the fabled city of gold, El Dorado. One of the better children's movies, and it actually has good music. 7/10.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsHarvey KeitelTim RothMichael MadsenWhen a simple jewelry heist goes horribly wrong, the surviving criminals begin to suspect that one of them is a police informant.Good, but nothing mindblowing. Nevertheless entertaining. 7/10.
- DirectorOliver StoneStarsShia LaBeoufMichael DouglasCarey MulliganNow out of prison but still disgraced by his peers, Gordon Gekko works his future son-in-law, an idealistic stock broker, when he sees an opportunity to take down a Wall Street enemy and rebuild his empire.Great seeing Gekko again, but aside of that I thought this movie felt like a cash-grab. 6/10.
- DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsKevin CostnerSean ConneryRobert De NiroDuring Prohibition, Treasury agent Eliot Ness sets out to stop ruthless Chicago gangster Al Capone, and assembles a small, incorruptible team to help him.Me and gangster movies just click. It's really entertaining for what it was, but not recommendable for everyone. 7/10.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJohn TravoltaUma ThurmanSamuel L. JacksonThe lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption. One of my favourite films. Also loved having Travolta as Vincent Vega.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsPam GrierSamuel L. JacksonRobert ForsterA flight attendant with a criminal past gets nabbed by the ATF for smuggling. Under pressure to become an informant against the illegal arms dealer she works for, she must find a way to secure her future without getting killed.Thought it was pretty boring.
- DirectorMatthias HoeneStarsRasmus HardikerHarry TreadawayMichelle RyanA gang of bank robbers fight their way out of a zombie-infested London. They've got Cockney accents, but that's really the only saving grace of this movie.
- DirectorRawson Marshall ThurberStarsBen StillerChristine TaylorVince VaughnA group of misfits enter a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament in order to save their cherished local gym from the onslaught of a corporate health fitness chain. An overall really enjoyable film.
- DirectorZack SnyderStarsSarah PolleyVing RhamesMekhi PhiferA nurse, a policeman, a young married couple, a salesman and other survivors of a worldwide plague that is producing aggressive, flesh-eating zombies, take refuge in a mega Midwestern shopping mall.Does nothing new. For that reason, it passes, but nothing more.
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroRay LiottaJoe PesciThe story of Henry Hill and his life in the mafia, covering his relationship with his wife Karen and his mob partners Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito.Loved this film all the way through. Excellent.
- DirectorShane MeadowsStarsThomas TurgooseStephen GrahamJo HartleyA young boy becomes friends with a gang of skinheads. Friends soon become like family, and relationships will be pushed to the very limit. Not as good as I remembered, to be honest. Nevertheless a good, short watch.
- DirectorJames CameronStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerJamie Lee CurtisTom ArnoldA fearless, globe-trotting, terrorist-battling secret agent has his life turned upside down when he discovers his wife might be having an affair with a used-car salesman while terrorists smuggle nuclear war heads into the United States.Charming. Arnold's the boss.
- DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsMarlon BrandoAl PacinoJames CaanThe aging patriarch of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son.A classic? Yes. The best movie ever? Meeh... there was only one character I really liked and thought was good, and that was the Don Corleone himself.
- DirectorPierre MorelStarsJohn TravoltaJonathan Rhys MeyersKasia SmutniakIn Paris, a young employee in the office of the US Ambassador hooks up with an American spy looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city.Travolta rules, as always. As for the actual movie though? Perfect rental material but nothing more.
- DirectorPatrick HughesStarsSylvester StalloneJason StathamJet LiBarney augments his team with new blood for a personal battle: to take down Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables co-founder and notorious arms trader who is hell bent on wiping out Barney and every single one of his associates.I liked it because, similarly to the other movies, it was pretty much manly men doing manly stuff. However, it does take itself too seriously and goes against the mad fun that the series was about.
- DirectorKinji FukasakuStarsTatsuya FujiwaraAki MaedaTarô YamamotoIn the future, the Japanese government captures a class of ninth-grade students and forces them to kill one another under the revolutionary "Battle Royale" act.Entertaining, but doesn't even compare to the book. With so many characters squeezed into such a limiting format, the backstories we get are few and lackin. Furthermore, the end feels unrewarding.
- DirectorJoe WrightStarsKeira KnightleyJude LawAaron Taylor-JohnsonIn late-19th-century Russian high society, St. Petersburg aristocrat Anna Karenina enters into a life-changing affair with the dashing Count Alexei Vronsky.Take everything that made the book great, ignore it, and you have this film.

Asuka learns that there have been a number of strange deaths in the complex over the years from Shinobu (Hiroki Narimiya), the handyman cleaning up the old man's apartment.
