- DirectorLouis LumièreOutdoors, with a nondescript building in the background, four men stand, each holding the corner of a blanket stretched parallel to the ground. They wear the clothes of laborers. By the back corner on our left stands a uniformed man who seems in charge. A sixth man stands back from the blanket about six paces; he runs forward and takes a leap but stops at the edge of the blanket and is upbraided by the uniformed gent. The same thing happens a second time, but the next three times, he completes a flip, landing on his back in the middle of the blanket, and the four then boost him out toward the camera. The final time seems like it will be his last for awhile.

- DirectorKim AubryStarsWalter MurchGeorge LucasFrancis Ford CoppolaOn the 35th anniversary of the release of the landmark film "The Godfather," (March 15, 1972) we look back at the time and place of the film's conception and shooting. Forces in the film industry were in conflict: Hollywood was on the decline toward cultural irrelevance, conglomerates were taking over the storied movie studios and a new generation of auteur filmmakers including the young and then unknown Francis Coppola were emerging from film schools. The studio hated Coppola's ideas for casting, visual style and almost everything else, as they hoped for a quick, inexpensive exploitation of a pulpy best-seller. But one year later, said then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger at the world premiere in New York City: "...this picture is going to be just huge around the world, because if you can cry for a leading character who has killed 100s of people when he- when he dies, and you cry for him when he's dying, that's touching greatness, and this man, Coppola, has touched greatness."

- DirectorDaniel MyrickEduardo SánchezStarsJoe NagyMinette MarcialHeather DonahueThis short film was originally offered by Blockbuster Video to promote the rental and sales of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT video when it was first released. There is an amusing comment at the beginning of STICKS and STONES indicating that Blockbuster didn't go looking for the added footage because "You'd have to be crazy to go into those woods." Much of the film is scenes from THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and CURSE OF THE BLAIR WITCH. But two new pieces of film are tacked on at the end, one of which provides a provocative added clue or misclue to the mystery. This clue adds support to one of the many theories of what happened in THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, namely that there was some sort of time warp involved which prevented the search party from seeing the three missing college students even though the searchers covered the same territory where the students disappeared. STICKS and STONES isn't particularly important except for the two new pieces of film. If the viewer has no interest in the Blair Witch myth, then this film will be of no interest either. But for fans, it's another piece in the puzzle.
