- DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry, Ron, and Hermione search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes in their effort to destroy the Dark Lord as the final battle rages on at Hogwarts.10/10
MY FAVORITE film serial next to Nolan's Batman is HP, which I was reading since I was 13. I'm really biased towards it, I LOVE everything about it, every performance, every bit and God bless all of them:) As last installment of one of my favorite film serials, it deserves the first place! - DirectorDavid FincherStarsDaniel CraigRooney MaraChristopher PlummerJournalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for 40 years by young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander.10/10
This film is AMAZING! It's a pure 10! The story, directing, acting, everything was superb! It even at times surpasses Last HP, which I thought wouldn't be possible. Surprisingly it's characters grew on me very easily and I care for each while watching it. Recommend to watch immediately! If you like thriller, drama or mystery, if you prefer mainstream, film noir or shock cinema, see it, it combines that factors. I certainly hope the Academy will see it's real value and nominate it in as much categories possible:) - DirectorTate TaylorStarsViola DavisEmma StoneOctavia SpencerAn aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis.9/10
I was seriously emotional while watching it. It is seemingly light, but don't let the bright tone of the movie fool you, the topics are important, strong and made with fierce. Maybe best female cast I saw in a long time, especially Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. I think it says much about 1950s/1960s society in America and does it so in a very believable and reliable way that is brutal without being over-the-top, so it gets you straight to the point. - DirectorTomas AlfredsonStarsGary OldmanColin FirthTom HardyIn the bleak days of the Cold War, espionage veteran George Smiley is forced from semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet Agent within MI6.9/10
So amazingly PERFECT! Gary Oldman is THE man. And the movie is so thrilling, it has amazing atmosphere, acting is top notch, story is so perfectly put and I just love it! Must see recommendation to everyone who loves spy movies and thrillers, but drama as well. Some really powerful dramatic moments are in it too!! Just perfect! - DirectorJonathan LevineStarsJoseph Gordon-LevittSeth RogenAnna KendrickInspired by a true story, a comedy centered on a 27-year-old guy who learns of his cancer diagnosis and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease.9/10
This is such a great movie, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it makes you both in the same time. Very rare quality, so it's very unique. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance was breathtaking, and Seth Rogen was great too. Really one of the best dramas I have ever seen. - DirectorGustavo LozaStarsJorge SalinasLuis Roberto GuzmánAna SerradillaThe story of Hendrix, a 7-year-old child that's been abandoned by his crack-addict mother Nina. Ivana, her best friend rescues him, however, she can't take care of him because of an ongoing trip to Houston. Jean Paul and Chema, an adult, stable, gay couple, and friends of Ivana, were given the task of taking care of Hendrix while his mother spends some time in rehab. Patrick, Nina's lover and dealer is being chased by a drug-lord, because of a huge debt. In an attempt to get the money he tries to sell Hendrix to a young couple, who just lost a baby. While Nina tries to escape rehab in search of her son, Hendrix slowly adapts to his new life with Jean Paul and Chema. Patrick's running out of time and urges Nina to find her misplaced son.9/10
I think everyone who is gay, homophobic or in any way interested in the subject of gay adoption should see this film. It evolves around a boy whose mother is an addict and a hooker and he is brought to the house of rich gay couple, who first need only to look after him and then he becomes the part of the family. It's a really great and warm movie, and the best part is that it's not black and white in terms of character profiles. Not all gay/straight people are presented the same and even homophobia isn't presented as something only bad people do. Really amazing film! - DirectorMichel HazanaviciusStarsJean DujardinBérénice BejoJohn GoodmanWhen George, a silent movie superstar, meets Peppy Miller, a dancer, sparks fly between the two. However, after the introduction of talking pictures, their fortunes change, affecting their dynamic.8/10
Everybody was saying this film is the best and now that I saw it, I must say that every word it true. I love it! The performance were great and it is so lovable, easy, but also symbolic, it says big life things in a charming, not-pretencious way. Both leads are Oscar-worthy, and also notable mention to James Cromwell and the Dog, Must see to everyone! - DirectorNicolas Winding RefnStarsRyan GoslingCarey MulliganBryan CranstonA mysterious Hollywood action film stuntman gets in trouble with gangsters when he tries to help his neighbor's husband rob a pawn shop while serving as his getaway driver.8/10
Ryan Gosling is among my fav actors and once again he's proven himself to be versatile and a genious. He carries this amazing action movie which is actually more of a drama with the package of the action movie. And the director also directed one of my fav Marple movies, so he's obviously good. - DirectorJoe JohnstonStarsChris EvansHugo WeavingSamuel L. JacksonSteve Rogers, a rejected military soldier, transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a warmonger and a terrorist organization.8/10
Also very good Marvel's adaptation of a comic book hero. I wasn't familiar with him until movie, and now I like him. Chris Evans is a great actor, he was completely different in this than in Fantastic Four. - DirectorBrad BirdStarsTom CruiseJeremy RennerSimon PeggThe IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.8/10
If you want adrenalin and Colombiana wasn't enough, this is the film. The action is well done, you hardly believe it's possible in real life, but when you are watching the film, it looks real. And Jeremy Renner was especially good in his character. - DirectorPaul FeigStarsKristen WiigMaya RudolphRose ByrneCompetition between the maid of honor and a bridesmaid, over who is the bride's best friend, threatens to upend the life of an out-of-work pastry chef.8/10
I thought, why this movie has an Oscar nominations, it looks so generic. Then I actually saw it and knew why. It is hilarious and yet so lifelike. Performaces are great and dialogue is really amazingly done. It's a chick filck, but a good one. - DirectorTarsem SinghStarsHenry CavillMickey RourkeJohn HurtTheseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.8/10
Movie was visually stunning. It was alot better that Clash of Titans, although this one tempered with mythology accuracy too, it didn't bother me much. Henry Cavill will make a good Superman. - DirectorKenneth BranaghStarsChris HemsworthAnthony HopkinsNatalie PortmanThe powerful but arrogant god Thor is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.8/10
All four big comic book films this year were good, so is this one. Thor and Loki are amazing characters and their relationship and rivalry is what carries this film. Tom Hiddleston just steals every scene he's in. The storyline is fantastic and for the first time ever, Branagh managed to explain 'gods' in a realistic(ish) way that still remains faithful to the comics. - DirectorMatthew VaughnStarsJames McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer LawrenceIn the 1960s, superpowered humans Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr work together to find others like them, but Erik's vengeful pursuit of an ambitious mutant who ruined his life causes a schism to divide them.8/10
Movie is good, but not as good as reviews say. Sorry, acting is very good, effects too, storyline is also good enough, still there are MAJOR incosistancies between this one and the X-Men trilogy in plot, and having Mystique as Xavier's 'sister' and Magneto as a buddy he knew for like month, doesn't explain why later they are like brothers in arms, while he doesn't even differ Mystique from other villains. Just to begin with. But if you look at it as a separate film, it is great. Too much superheroes and too few plainclothes villains for my taste, though. If mutants resend others so much, this would be an opportunity to show it, instead to giving us Magneto prequel (aka Sebastian Shaw), regardless of how cool he is. - DirectorGeorge ClooneyStarsPaul GiamattiGeorge ClooneyPhilip Seymour HoffmanAn idealistic staffer for a new presidential candidate gets a crash course on dirty politics during his stint on the campaign trail.8/10
The moral of the story is: politics is a bitch! Don't trust anyone and everyone needed to suck-up to someone or to stab someone in the back to be successful in politics. Every actor in the movie is convincing, every character is convincing. Once again, Oscar for Gosling should have been given. And Clooney is a great actor and a director as well. - DirectorGuy RitchieStarsRobert Downey Jr.Jude LawJared HarrisDetective Sherlock Holmes is on the trail of criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty, who is carrying out a string of random crimes across Europe.8/10
First Sherlock Holmes was very good, this one is better and mostly because of Jared Harris' amazing and chilling performance as Prof. Moriarty. Only little thing for those who seen it, I'd cut the last 30 seconds, making Watson's line: ''Was it the usual guy? Did he look strange?'' the last line of the movie. But it's ok like this as well. - DirectorJoe CornishStarsJohn BoyegaJodie WhittakerAlex EsmailA teen gang in South London defend their block from an alien invasion.8/10
Fun, easy to watch, and again very tense. Humor is dry British only they can do, and characters are hilarious. Very untypical to have gang as the main protagonists, but it works. Main guy, Moses, is a hero of one kind, Sam is the rational one, others are mostly stoners. You'll laugh and be scared all the time. Even effects are good! - DirectorOlivier MegatonStarsZoe SaldanaMichael VartanCallum BlueA young girl in Bogotá witnesses her parents' murder and grows up to be a stone-cold assassin.8/10
So happy Zoe Saldana got a film which her name carries. And it's very good, thrilling, with surprisingly good character development and you can believe most stunts they did. - DirectorDavid FrankelStarsOwen WilsonJack BlackSteve MartinTwo bird enthusiasts try to defeat the cocky, cutthroat world record holder in a year-long bird-spotting competition.7/10
This movie was actually above my expectations. Lovely movie with a great ending message, not too obvious. It was a warm and dynamic movie. - DirectorTom SixStarsLaurence R. HarveyAshlynn YennieMaddi BlackInspired by the fictional Dr. Heiter, disturbed loner Martin dreams of creating a 12-person centipede and sets out to realize his sick fantasy.7/10
The backlash is probably there mostly because it's graphic. Tom Six gives us unique horror story, amazingly done with true discovery Laurence R. Harvey in the main role. It's very graphic, so it's not for the faint of heart, but it's worth it. - DirectorColin MinihanStuart OrtizThe Vicious BrothersStarsBenjamin WilkinsonSean RogersonAshleigh GryzkoFor their ghost hunting reality show, a production crew locks themselves inside an abandoned mental hospital that's supposedly haunted - and it might prove to be all too true.7/10
This is a very good horror, and unlike most other ''it looks real, cause it's camera'' films, this one has actually good story-line and it's scary. Although with low budget, it got higher on my list than some blockbusters. Not for claustrophobic! - DirectorGlenn FicarraJohn RequaStarsSteve CarellRyan GoslingJulianne MooreA middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a newfound friend, Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.7/10
Ryan Gosling really should have been nominated for Oscar. Few unexpected twists and lots of great fun. Characters are sometimes so honest it's hilarious! - DirectorMartin CampbellStarsRyan ReynoldsBlake LivelyPeter SarsgaardReckless test pilot Hal Jordan is granted an alien ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers that inducts him into an intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps.7/10
Despite what you hear, this is a good comic book movie. True, there are some minor errors, but not nearly enough to spoil this movie for me. Also, acting is good, and Blake Lively was actually very good:) However, after second watching I get what is wrong: Sinestro seams underdeveloped and rushed. Hector Hammond was awesome, though. - DirectorHenry OlekStarsRoss McCallSusan PriverJude CiccolellaEverett and Glory Hutchins live in a typical middle class neighborhood. Maybe your neighborhood. The Hutchins have a "guestroom" in their home. It's not exactly a business. It's a hobby. Or.....would you say religion? You see, Everett and Glory are practicing cannibals. It's a proclivity that you can't readily share with friend or neighbor. When Richard Ruebens answers Everett's classified add to buy a classic car, he becomes their latest potential meal. But......Richard has no intention of being a lamb led to slaughter.7/10
I loved the drama between two main characters and I loved how characters are presented. It does start a little fast, but it has an interesting developing of the plot. It has horror elements, but I wouldn't call it a horror, more like a thriller drama. And we definitely need more films with Ross McCall as the lead, he's marvelous. - DirectorSean HoganAndrew ParkinsonSimon RumleyStarsLuke de LaceyHolly LucasSiubhan HarrisonComposed of three disturbingly sensual and terrifying short narratives, unified by the twin themes of sex and death.7/10
It's a horror. It's very naturalistic and each of three stories is grittier than the other. Said that, they are also very deep, you have to think about it and it affects you. It's not for those who want to laugh at killings like in slashers. Most is actually allegorical, yet looks so real, so I like it. - DirectorSteven QualeStarsNicholas D'AgostoEmma BellArlen EscarpetaDeath returns to claim the lucky survivors of a deadly bridge collapse in this fifth frightening installment in the series.7/10
Besides the concept of people dying in the same order and no way out is very predictable, this movie did it's best and I got hooked to it. Not only visually, but also the characters and the story, it actually gets tense and unpredictable at times. One death I found unnecessary, but others not and it's final twist in the last minute left me speachless. Great job, FD5! - DirectorAndrew NiccolStarsJustin TimberlakeAmanda SeyfriedCillian MurphyIn a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Will Salas is accused of murder and on the run with a hostage.7/10
Story is symbolic more than anything, it's actually a strong criticizm towards today's society and especially capitalism. It's also fun to watch, easy storyline, but chilling at times. - DirectorDarren Lynn BousmanStarsRebecca De MornayJaime KingShawn AshmoreThe sadistic members of a villainous family return to their childhood home to terrorize the new home owners and their guests.7/10
One of the better horrors I've seen in awhile. It's definitely not the flick to watch for laughs and gore. Atmosphere is tense and it is more like a thriller-drama-horror. Very unpredictable and acting is very good. Rebecca De Mornay is excellent as The Mother. Besides minor corrections regarding personal taste, I'm very happy with this film and would recommend it to anyone. - DirectorSeth GordonStarsJason BatemanCharlie DayJason SudeikisThree friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.7/10
Hilarious dark comedy which succeeds in being original and funny, which is a rare characteristic in the day when every single pun is seen miles ahead. Twists are very unexpected and cool, and characters are reliable. Recommendation to all comedy lovers. - DirectorBrett SimmonsStarsDevon GrayeWes ChathamC.J. ThomasonA group of friends stranded near a desolate cornfield find shelter in an old farmhouse, though they soon discover the dwelling is the center of a supernatural ritual.7/10
As I said in my review of this film, it's scary and unpredicatable, all which the horror movie has to be. It didn't have as character development as Halloween or New Nightmare, but it didn't have plot holes to the plot it had either. And you will watch it on needles from beginning to end and that's why it's good. - DirectorAdam BrooksJeremy GillespieMatthew KennedyStarsAdam BrooksMatthew KennedyConor SweeneyA murderer, a priest, and a delinquent try to bring down a father-killing madman.7/10
Please do not watch this movie if you are not ready for senseless killing, unlogical plot, incest, rape, various ways to torture and ultimately, lots of hilarious puns and dark humor. The movie already starts as trash (as in genre), but it turns out to be much, much more absurd then you're led to believe for the first part. - DirectorThomas BezuchaStarsSelena GomezLeighton MeesterKatie CassidyThree young women vacationing in Paris find themselves whisked away to Monte Carlo after one of the girls is mistaken for a British heiress.7/10
This chick flick works mostly based on performances of Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy, they got well made lines and all 3 friends have chemistry. Selena Gomez was fine too as both of her characters. And storyline was fun enough, without pushing it 'too much' to handle. - DirectorJohn CarpenterStarsAmber HeardMamie GummerDanielle PanabakerAn institutionalized young woman becomes terrorized by a ghost.6/10
I'll just say that it is not that predictable and that Amber Heard gives a good performance as a young woman in 1960s asylum. - DirectorDaniel BarnzStarsAlex PettyferVanessa HudgensMary-Kate OlsenA modern-day take on the "Beauty and the Beast" tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.6/10
It actually works, the whole modern beauty and the beast thing. Some subplots seam bit underdeveloped in the main plot, but leading actors have chemistry and that's what matters. - DirectorAngel GraciaStarsCamilla BelleAlexa PenaVegaKuno BeckerA Latina spin on Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility": two spoiled sisters who have been left penniless after their father's sudden death are forced to move in with their estranged aunt in East Los Angeles.6/10
The story was from Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, put today in USA. Amazing Camilla Belle and Alexa Vega function as sisters and story is very 'feel good, move on' kind of story, so if you like that, this one will do. - DirectorKevin MunroeStarsBrandon RouthAníta BriemSam HuntingtonThe adventures of supernatural private investigator, Dylan Dog, who seeks out the monsters of the Louisiana bayou in his signature red shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.6/10
There is certainly no 'It' factor to it, but all the actors did a great job, especially Sam Huntington and there is a twist I loved near the end. Also, original approach to zombies. Loved that. However, story seams rushed, unpoloshed and too few gore for Dylan Dog story. - DirectorSteve AntinStarsCherChristina AguileraAlan CummingA small-town girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer.6/10
I have to see it again for final judgement, but Christina really did well in her first role. The film is original in the way it sees the low entertainment business. It's very tricky, but it can also be rewarding. It put accent on belonging, not drugs and stuff, so I found it original. And songs are fantastic. - DirectorFred AndrewsStarsMehcad BrooksSerinda SwanDaniel BernhardtIn the back country of Louisiana, a group of friends unearth a terrible secret that unleashes a monster from the depths of the swamp.6/10
I'm happy beautiful Serinda Swan got to play the lead, although her character was a cliche. Main guy was quite fun, though, and so was the guy who led the group, he was really funny. Overall, typical monster horror, but it has atmosphere and humor. - DirectorMarcus NispelStarsJason MomoaRon PerlmanRose McGowanA vengeful barbarian warrior sets off to get his revenge on the evil warlord who attacked his village and murdered his father when he was a boy.6/10
Although previous version was good in it's own way, this one also has as good plot, and was better done with effects and props and costumes. Fights are good and all important characters are not annoying and have that 'epic' vibe to them. - DirectorEric EnglandStarsColley BaileyMatt MercerAce MarreroA group of college kids travel to a small, mountain town called Madison County to interview the author of a tell-all book on the accounts of several grisly murders that happened there. But when the kids get to Madison County, the author is no where to be found and the towns people act like they haven't seen him in years. They also say that the killer never existed and the murders never happened. However, when the kids start digging around to get their own answers, they find out that the stories may be more real than the townspeople are letting on!6/10
It has elements of classic slasher, so it's partially generic. But the important parts that aren't are the killer Damian, who is really scary and cool, and the fact that 'main team' are all presented as equally main characters, so this time you really can't tell who's gonna die, when and who among them will be the survivor girl/guy. - DirectorPhil DornfeldStarsNicholas D'AgostoJosh GadBret HarrisonA group of college buddies sow their wild oats in New Orleans.6/10
Funny sex comedy with many classic elements, but as a fan of Bret Harrison, I enjoyed it and had some great laughs. The message of the film is have fun and it's the same message as many other films also have, but truely cool things are puns and laughs we have during the film. - DirectorJason EisenerStarsRutger HauerPasha EbrahimiRobb WellsA homeless vigilante blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun.6/10
Maybe I need to see it again, but I find it too depressive without catarsis. I love depressive movies, but it has to have some tiny white spot on the end or at least have so powerful message you'l never forget. Hobo didn't deliver it in the most powerful way. However, it had it's moments and I liked the performances. But I think that Grindhouse is better. - DirectorDeclan O'BrienStarsEric RobertsKerem BürsinSara Malakul LaneA half-shark and half-octopus creature created for the military creates a whole lot of terror in Mexico, while the scientist who helped to create it tries to either capture or kill it.5/10
Of course it's silly, but it is funny. Definitely not one of the worst Shark movies out there. What to say? Cheesy? Yes, it is. But unlike some trash, it's actually very entertaining most of the time. - DirectorPaul W.S. AndersonStarsLogan LermanMatthew MacfadyenRay StevensonThe hot-headed young D'Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down-on-their-luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.5/10
And Oscar goes to... the Costume Designer! It was amazing. Acting was good too, many great actors in this. However, some stuff were just too much. I know that some movies, like Forest Gump, can temper with some stuff and get away with it, but it just has to be that 'it' factor to it, it wasn't here. Still it was good enough to say I wish they make a better sequel. - DirectorAntti J. JokinenStarsHilary SwankJeffrey Dean MorganLee PaceWhen a young doctor suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft, she learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her.5/10
Movie is well made, and Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are superb in their performances. It is thrilling, although somewhat predictable. - DirectorTodd Strauss-SchulsonStarsKal PennJohn ChoNeil Patrick HarrisSix years after their Guantanamo Bay adventure, stoner buds Harold Lee and Kumar Patel cause a holiday fracas by inadvertently burning down Harold's father-in-law's prize Christmas tree.5/10
Love the chemistry between them and parody of 3D (it's *very* obvious in which frames it appears). NPH, Danny Trejo and others were great addition to the cast and ultimately it is a nice story about friendship and love. On the other side, pro-pot propaganda is bit too agressive for my taste, although I'm pro legalization. Baby on cocaine was also a step too far, and by crossing that line, the film got star down. - DirectorD.J. CarusoStarsAlex PettyferTimothy OlyphantDianna AgronAliens and their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters. They can only be killed in numerical order, and Number Four is next on the list. This is his story.5/10
This movie was also very hated, but I don't find it that bad. Alex Pettyfer is actually a good actor and the plot was fine considering it has same 'some teen with superpowers fighting evil' synopsis like many movies do today. If they make a sequel, I expect a turn on the story's development. - DirectorJohn WhitesellStarsMartin LawrenceBrandon T. JacksonJessica LucasMalcolm Turner and his stepson Trent go undercover at an all-girls school to flush out a killer.5/10
It was actually very very funny and that's the whole point. I was loling all the time. And I'm glad they left out some intros since this is the third one. Lawrence is as usual, but Brandon T. Jackson has a big potential indeed. - DirectorDominic SenaStarsNicolas CageRon PerlmanClaire Foy14th-century knights transport a suspected witch to a monastery, where monks deduce that her powers could be the source of the Black Plague.5/10
I hear many were disappointed with this, but it wasn't really a bad movie. It had the atmosphere. And I really didn't hate the final twist, it was cool. But, some others things regarding the final were too annoyingly predictable. - DirectorGarry MarshallStarsSarah Jessica ParkerJessica BielAshton KutcherThe lives of several couples and singles in New York City intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.5/10
It would actually be few nice stories if they weren't all in one film, underdeveloped. All stories have good potential, although many are cheesy and overdramatic. My favorite was that of a couple having a baby. It could've been done better, but it was watchable and has some warmth to it. - DirectorDavid R. EllisStarsSara PaxtonDustin MilliganChris CarmackA weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to shark attacks.4/10
This one is not good. Full of plot-holes, annoying villains, bad violence, unnecessary plot... It was actually a disaster. Main problem about this movie is that it cannot decide weather it wants to be taken as a serious horror or horror-comedy, so it fails in both. Only good thing about the movie is that the leads, Sara Paxton and Dustin Milligan, weren't annoying and were actually best characters. Other than that, this movie is bad. - DirectorBill CondonStarsKristen StewartRobert PattinsonTaylor LautnerThe Quileutes close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses a threat to the Wolf Pack and the towns people of Forks.4/10
I laughed at times how cheesy it was. There are things I liked, but for the most parts, I thought that the story was a wasted potential of a relationship between a human and a vampire. And it's not even a bad adaptation, since Stephanie Meyer worked on it. Too cheesy, bad talking CGI wolves, bad dialougue, Edward is SO annoying. Scenery, camera and Bella's make-up were cool and Jacob was surprisinly fine besides the imprinting (Urgh!) - DirectorScott StewartStarsPaul BettanyCam GigandetMaggie QA warrior priest disobeys church law to track down a pact of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.3/10
Thing that saves this cliched film from a total disaster is super original and visually stunning look of vampires. Also, effects and camera are great. Maggie Q is beautiful. Story is generic and predictable, but I could give them some slack for visual greatness. - DirectorRobert RodriguezStarsJessica AlbaJeremy PivenJoel McHaleA retired spy is called back into action, and to bond with her new step-children, she invites them along for the adventure to stop the evil Timekeeper from taking over the world.3/10
I love Rodriguez, Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara and the original films, but I don't know how can the same person make Machete and a year later - this. The plot is so bad and scetches are even worse. This might be good film for pre-scools, but only them. After 7, you can't even laugh at this. Two things I just can't forgive: Spy detector and baby flipping over the bad guy. Just... too much to handle! - DirectorMike MitchellStarsJustin LongMatthew Gray GublerJesse McCartneyPlaying around while aboard a cruise ship, the Chipmunks and Chipettes accidentally go overboard and end up marooned in a tropical paradise. They discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems.2/10
This is bad! Just awful as Spy Kids 4D, without the redeeming factor that I'm a fan of somebody here. Sure, Jason Lee is a good actor, but he can't save this. Girl 'villain' is such a bad actress and chipmunks are supposed to be adorable, but are more annoying than anything. However, I just cannot not like little Theo, he was a cutie. But the moment when Island suddenly ----(spoiler)----, I knew that this is worse than Spy Kids. However, both might be funny for pre-schools. - DirectorDouglas McGrathStarsSarah Jessica ParkerPierce BrosnanKelsey GrammerA comedy centered on the life of Kate Reddy, a finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two kids.2/10
As much as Bridesmaids is a good chick flick, this one is as much as bad. Women are presented as winy, overemotional (or emotionally crippled) and confusing, while men are presented as careless, blunt and incapable of taking care of their children. SJP is a miscast and Pierce Brosnan's character is a cliche. This movie has two stars from me: one for Christina Hendricks and one for Seth Meyers, only two actors who actually took an effort for this to work. But two supporting actors, with about 10 minutes screen time each, can't overcome the fact that this movie is all about nothing. If anything, this movie shows that a woman can't be both successful at work and as a mother, which is wrong and stupid! At least Spy Kids 4D and Chipmunks are targeted for kids, this is not! - DirectorMark AtkinsStarsCorin NemecBrooke HoganVanessa EviganThe residents of a small town team up to kill a group of evolved sharks that can swim in sand, and are terrorizing local beaches.2/10
Urgh... I stand myself corrected! This atrocity here is THE worst film of 2011. Of course, I we count in just A-list, then film above takes the credit, but from all overall, this one is worst. It's not scary, nor funny, acting is horrendous, it's predictable, effects are bad, everything that can go wrong did go wrong. I couldn't believe that yet another shark movie would make ''Shark Night 3D'' look like ''Shawshank Redemption'' next to it. And it's not even so bad that it's good, like ''Thankskilling''. No charm, no originality, no nothing.
