The film is the portrait of this young musician, who immediately after his release finds himself torn between his past and his new identify as the fervent and militant Muslim he has become and wishes to remain. The camera follows him closely day by day over the first few months of his re-found freedom, which be now finds frightening.
- In 1972, Yvonne Huriez made the headlines. For an unpaid bill, she was sentenced to four months in prison. The eldest of her nine children, Thierry, could not stand his mother's incarceration. He committed suicide. Six years later, Yvonne Huriez tries to start living again. She lives in a transit housing estate in Saint-Denis and has opened a bookshop under the name of "Dégling's". A meeting point for the excluded, the pariahs, the inhabitants of the zone or of the transit cities, the "dégling's" (the misfits), as she calls them with humor and tenderness.
