- Carnival Messiah is a radical reinvention of George Fredrick Handel's Messiah; the theatrical production fuses together traditional and contemporary music, dance and carnival practices. The idea came from Geraldine Connor's desire to celebrate both her Caribbean and British roots. The traditional Christian story was reworked into a colourful masterpiece that celebrated art forms from around the world. Leeds-based director Ashley Karrell's film takes you closer to the action than ever before - huge cast, loud music, spectacular carnival costumes. Also featuring interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from both then and now. Carnival Messiah The Film and Documentary has been created with thanks to Arts Council England Lottery Funding, Harewood House and Panoptical.

- Displaced is the cinematic reimagining of Akeim Toussaint Buck's one-man dance theatre show: 'Windows of Displacement'. Created and Co-Directed by Ashley Karrell, the film continues the exploration of themes such as: displacement, race, culture and imperialism. Focussing more on the African Diaspora via the settings of the inner-city community. Taking aspects of the live work and re-contextualising them in real life spaces that support in amplifying this feeling of displacement. Giving the viewer a fraction of the feeling of being displaced people. Visually captivating with striking imagery and virtuoso dance, 'Displaced' takes the viewer on a journey calling for reflection and global change.
