- Lost Angeles is a ground breaking digital short film (19min) that explores the day to day survival of the working immigrant. The film begins at a center for day laborers that services a class of exploited, mostly undocumented workers. There we find Angel, a young Mexican man being interviewed for a documentary project. His life in the US has already worn him down as is evident from his emotional confession to the camera. The camera continues to reveal the life of Angel, where day laborers stab each other for a chance to earn $30 in exchange for hard labor. But these days prove especially hard for Angel, who experiences one defeating obstacle after another. After his eviction from a drug infested apartment complex, Angel faces a week of hunger. Based on actual interviews, this film exposes how little we know about the struggles happening in our own backyard of Los Angeles. This film forces us to re-evaluate what one is willing to sacrifice when all hope is lost.
