- In a dystopian society, humans are now born without being assigned to a specific gender even though they resemble archaic images of male and female. They acquire their official gender assignment after going through what is known as "completion." Rain, a young student on a field trip to aquarium, envies that the rare fish she encounters have the ability to decide with whom to mate in spite of their specific gender. This is a privilege Rain doesn't have, preventing her from returning any affection her classmate Sky gives her. What Rain doesn't know is that the field trip is actually a standardized test that challenges her on her commitment to conform to society's rules and whether she will risk being condemned to a life without freedom.
- Valeria is in the ring for the last fight of her professional boxing career. She has always been a warrior, in childhood games as in the tragic battle fought as an adult, for the right to assisted suicide of her lifelong partner, Fabiano, who was blind and quadriplegic after a car accident. While fighting in the ring, his words tell us about the unpredictable upheaval of two lives, the sacrifice of the years of care, the sliding towards the end. The match continues, the fatigue grows, the gestures slow down, merging with the story told by Valeria, more and more raw and direct. We discover the anger that still animates her in the face of the other loss of her life: the sudden suicide of her father, intertwined and yet opposed to the end of her partner's life. The meeting is about to end, every punch, every movement weighs, time expands, clarity vanishes. Only the pain and anger of two such different losses remain in the ring, and the mystery of what it takes for a human being to endure them.
- The film is a snapshot of what we have seen and what we have been told. Rumors: students, lawyers, architects, journalists, activists, young and old, rich and poor; angry and joyful; brave and frightened. Images: the peaceful occupation of Gezi Park, the joy in opposing an absurd choice, and the violence of repression, the dismay in being "raped" the invention of silent protest, the multitude of Taksim Square. The reasons: the gentrification of Istanbul, Islamization which prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the evening, the limitation of individual freedom, a power more and more deaf, the allegation that he tried to hide the protest. The plurality of the protesters, different from each other, united in an unexpected alliance against abuses of power.
- After sixteen solitary years in the wild and splendid Valgrande, Gianfry, the barefoot hermit, died, leaving many mysteries behind. The voices of the valley and his own will shed light on death, the past, the choice of nature and the vision of life of an extraordinary man, in balance between pain and freedom.
- Monza, 25 March 2017, a million people await the Pope's arrival, and become a film. A film that comes from the chronicle of a great event, from the expectation of a moment of great intensity and involvement. An entomological and observational work, focused on the faithful, who flocked to see and hear the Pope: a million people slowly arriving at the park, some alone, some in large groups. Picnics, games to pass the time, songs and prayers of children and adults. At times the swelling crowd seems to enter a playground, or the arena of a concert: the voices of the animators and the rock songs flood the human tide lurking, while the waving scarves refer to great sporting events. In this confusion are human beings, of all ages and spirits. Some in an attitude of respect, of prayer. Others simply waiting for something, including photos and selfies to remember, to share. Everything is drowned in the incessant music, which seems to cover every thought. The result is a film about today's religion, which never contemplates silence.
