When villains threaten the people of ancient Greece, often in the fictional kingdom of Caledon, Hercules comes to the rescue of the Kingdom or whomever may be in trouble. When in serious danger, Hercules puts on his magic ring from which he gets his superpowers. Once wearing the ring and raising his fist, the ring is struck by flashes of lightning (referred to as the Thunder of Zeus in several episodes). Hercules is then endowed with super-strength, and goes forth for several brief episodes to do battle with nemeses such as Daedalus, an evil wizard who is the chief villain (sometimes accompanied by his pet cat Dydo); as well as others such as Wilhemine the Sea Witch (accompanied by her pet bird Elvira); and Murtis (aka The Mask of Vulcan), who was invulnerable due to his wearing of an iron helmet, itself known as the Mask of Vulcan. Hercules's friends and allies are: Newton, his main sidekick, the helpful boy centaur who has a habit of repeating himself every time he speaks Helena, Hercules's girlfriend Prince (later King) Dorian of Caledon Tewt, a small satyr who vocalizes only by playing his syrinx Timon, a young human from Caledon Pegasus, Hercules's winged steed.
- Daedalus uses the powers of the four winds to kidnap Helena. Can Hercules save her, or is the power of the winds too much for him?
- Daedalius has the Minotaur steal the royal seal from King Dorian of Cayldon. Hercules must navigate a dangerous maze in order to get it back.

- Exiled from Olympus, Odus becomes a Chameleon Man and teams up with Wilhelmine to try to capture Helena. Will Hercules be able to stop this terrible team?
- The Nemean Lion, powerful enough to break through stone walls, attacks the town. Is Hercules strong enough to over-power him? Not if the Mask has something to say.
- When Prince Dorian becomes sick, Hercules is sent to retrieve the nectar of the Lotus fruit to save him. Can Hercules get back in time to save him, even with Daedalus slowing him down?
- Helena cries out for Hercules' help as her boat is sinking. After swimming out to save her, he finds that the water is not deep and Helena was faking it to get Hercules to notice her. A monster then attacks her in the forbidden forest and at first Hercules ignores her cries but after saving her, he teaches her a lesson.
- Hercules is sent with magic seeds to help the villagers who are suffering from famine. Unfortunately, Daedalus wants the seeds too. Can Herc and Newton deliver the seeds and save the villagers?
- Daedalus steal Dorian's wreath, which is necessary to open the festival. He needs to create a new wreath, but in order to do so, he must pick the ivy himself atop Mount Illiam.
