- The documentary "Land of the Missing" is a painful portrait of two extraordinary people who are directly involved in the search for missing persons. There are thousands of missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were all killed during the war between 1992 and 1995. This documentary shows the heartbreaking search of Sabaheta Fejzic for her lost family members and the hard work of the exhumation expert Murat Hurtic and his team to find them. Mrs. Fejzic has searched for the truth about the destiny of her son and her husband since July 13th 1995, two days after the fall of the Bosnian enclave and the UN 'safe area' in Srebrenica. She hopes that her loved ones will be found one day. Mr. Hurtic has worked since 1996 for the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was tasked with finding the missing persons in hundreds of mass graves. These mass graves are spread all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, but particularly in eastern Bosnia. Sabaheta Fejzic and Murat Hurtic are symbols of the tragedy that happened to their country and of life after the genocide.
