- Thierry's wife Zandalee married the poet he once was. Taking over his dad's company in New Orleans gives him stress and impotence. Thierry meets his high school buddy Johnny at a bachelor party. The painter Johnny can satisfy Zandalee.
- The Art of Love (L'art d'aimer) is composed of several chapters following several Parisian couples. Isabelle (Julie Depardieu) has not had sex in a year. She declines an offer from her friend Zoé (Pascale Arbillot) to "borrow" her husband and instead winds up impersonating Amélie (Judith Godrèche), another friend who cannot bring herself to sleep with her buddy, Boris (Laurent Stocker). The singleton Achille (François Cluzet) thinks his prayers have been answered when his svelte new neighbor (Frédérique Bel) knocks on his door wearing a negligee and suggests they have an affair. In another chapter, a middle-aged couple's marriage is threatened when wife Emmanuelle (Ariane Ascaride) finds herself lusting after every attractive man she lays eyes upon and a pair of young lovers (Elodie Navarre and Gaspard Ulliel) discover the pangs of jealousy.
- A chubby forty-ish florist is dumped for a gorgeous young woman. She decides to lose weight and to ruin her rival's life in order to win her handsome lover back.
- When the party's official candidate, suffering from cancer, is forced to resign, Michel Dedieu is named to replace him at the last minute. Michel is to be confronted very shortly with his opponent at a TV debate and as he is little known, his campaign committee decides to coach him in a TV studio reproduced in his own home. Michel complies reluctantly. Worse he has a row with his wife, who disappears after having shaken off her bodyguard. The atmosphere is so tense that Dedieu suddenly feels unwell. He is stunned when the doctor he consults tells him he strongly doubts the former candidate really has cancer. Is the new candidate being manipulated then, notably by Georges, the crafty party strategist? Anyway, Michel Dedieu is not going to be anybody's fool ...
