- An extraordinary and touching tale about a man alone in the nature.
- Cundo returns home after ten years' absence. The reason is the death of his best friend, Suso. Cundo's plans consist of having a binge to Suso's health with his old friends, pretending that everything in his life is hunky-dory and then getting the hell out again. But his life leaves much to be desired and Suso has more in mind than a binge.
- Guillermo discovers plant-life in the Arctic and, becoming depressed about the prospects of conservation, returns to Spain to see his brother Alejandro, who is obsessed with trying to get photographic proof of the presence of bears in the region.
- Fabianito, a teenager and apprentice poet, is perplexed by the grotesque organisation of his great-grandfather's wake. Fabianito will discover love in these circumstances.
- The year is 2045. Jonás Godesberg, a man who looks amazingly like Luis Eduardo Aute, dictates his memoirs to a computer. He tells the story of how his grandfather, German scientist Gustav Godesberg, who developed genetic engineering experiments for the Nazis during World War II, arrived to the Spanish coast after surviving a ship wreck, and there fell for Amalia, a prostitute nicknamed 'The German'. Together, they developed a business out of selling babies that had been genetically modified to look like whoever the buyer wanted them to.
- Systolic/diastolic are the beats of the heart and it is this organ, which, more or less, symbolically tells the story of Ángel and Toño; a couple who have to face a terrible situation: Ángel's death.
