- In the world of Ancaria, magic is derived from a power source called "T-Energy". It is bright blue fluid that is pumped out of the ground. the Elves constructed a vast network underground pipes that transport T-Energy all over the planet. Unfortunately, the network has begun breaking down. The raw magical energy spilling out onto the planet's surface is causing an ecological catastrophe that threatens to plunge the world into uncontrollable chaos. The hero's reaction to this crisis depends on whether he/she has chosen the path of Light or Darkness. The player can choose from six character roles: Seraphim (quasi-angelic being), Inquisitor (evil religious fanatic), Dryad (archer with modest spellcasting capabilities), High Elf (profound spellcasting capabilities), Temple Guardian (Robot that is powered by T-Energy), and Shadow Warrior (sentient, free-willed undead with lots of chop).
- A great Sakkara demon was conjured into existence by the necromancer Shaddar. The heroes must find the five elements of Caesarian (wind, fire, earth, water, void), and use them to defeat the monster.
- Sacred is a RPG originating from Germany and is playing in the fantasy world of Ancaria. You as the player choose between six individual characters - A mage, an elf, a gladiator, a female forest elf, a female vampire and a seraphim who is a kind of arch angel. Your goal is to save Ancaria from the evil forces, namely Shaddar who is a necromancer. Shaddar has created many monsters for many years now to finally conquer Ancaria. The adventure of each character is starting in a different region of Ancaria. There are several main quests, splitted into four acts. But you also have to solve up to 500 side quests which are randomly assigned. You're solving the main quests to progress in the game and the storyline, in the side quests you're able to gain experience, gold and different other items which are useful but not necessary to finish the game.
