- The film tells the story of a small community on a small island in Okinawa, Japan. Especially it focusses on the story of a grandma named Nabbie, but although it's her story told in the film's centre there are some young people, the grand-daughter of Nabbie and a young Japanese who just came to visit the little island. As the film evolves with the more or less ordinary events of the little island's inhabitant's more or less ordinary life, the story behind Nabbie's life gets more and more obvious. It's a surprise to most everyone involved in one or the other way.
- Oshikiri is a loner who has bad memories of his childhood and his grandfather, a brilliant scientist. He returns to his grandfathers mansion to try to remember what really happened to him. He finds a portal to a parallel universe, which his grandfather had originally discovered. From this portal comes his doppelganger dressed in a cloak and gas mask, who kills his fellow students with an ancient axe.
- Sexuality blooms early when an elementary school student boy falls in love with a junior high school girl in tandem with the onset of his puberty. It is barely younger man and older woman relationship, but all concerned are proud and on a high including the students' adoring parents.
- Hoteru haibisukasu depicts a summer at a small run down hotel in Okinawa through the eyes of Mieko, the youngest daughter of the hotels extraordinarily international family.
- The lives of a young cop, a sanitation worker and a brooding pharmacist violently intersect on a bus that's hijacked by a suicidal political flunky, then cross paths again months later.
- After Reiko moves from Japan to Hong Kong to start working for Jackie Chan, her boyfriend Daijiro, in a fit of jealousy, hops on a plane and heads for Hong Kong himself. He manages to land a job as a stuntman, but can't quite seem to win his girlfriend back. When a young woman from mainland China searching Hong Kong for her boyfriend shows up in Daijiro's apartment, an additional set of complications are added to the story. Will anyone find their true love?
- Takashi Okamura is back on another wacky adventure. This time he is mistaken for a foreign assassin, which leads to him being chased by a maverick martial arts master, an oddball cop, the gangsters who hired him and the true assassin.

So when Ricky's brother suggests that he combine Osaka wrestling with Hong Kong cuisine, his restaurant strikes gold and wins rave reviews, but Dragon swears revenge. Overview: Ricky is a canteen handyman, his goal was to be a famous chef. His boss, One-Eye Dragon, was really mean to him and wanted to kill Ricky. Ricky went to Osaka and looked for his brother Mike. Mike suggested that he wanted to match up Osaka wrestling with the food from Hong Kong. And Mike taught in person the techniques of Osaka wrestling. Famous eating expert Chau visited the restaurant. Mike made the steamed dumpling for Chau to taste and was highly praised. The steamed dumpling attracted all the older customer and the business boomed again.
- Four childhood friends dream of being rock stars. But nobody wants to listen to them until their long lost friend reappears. However, the delightful reunion is soon over when she suddenly disappears again. They decide to go looking for her in case she is in trouble.
