Taejong sent many messengers to apologize and to convince his father to return, but his father killed each messenger. Finally, Taejong sends a high level monk who is also his father's best friend.
- Anniquin are Korean immigrants who work sugarcane fields in Mexico. In 1905, a group of Korean laborers dreaming of a paradise, are yanked off a ship to face deadly heat and slave labor. Chun-dong is the son of a butcher and Guk-hee is the daughter of a ruined aristocrat. Some try to escape the abuses of the slave drivers but most are caught and put to death. Some of the women get special treatment for favors. Chun-dong saves Guk-hee from such a situation and they fall in love, despite the social disparity. Chun-dong is sent home to warn of the terrible circumstances, but promises to return.

- In Manchuria during the 1940's, a karate master named Sazaki and hapkido champion Wang make plans to rob the Korean Independence Army of its funds. However, unknown to them, the money is guarded by one Mr Lee--a grand master of taekwondo.
- Park, a bar owner, is forced into paying extortion money to the local gangsters. When Yong-cheol, a customer, sees this, he is outraged and tries to beat up the gangsters, but he is overwhelmed by their numbers. The gangsters cut off Yong-cheol's leg to teach him a lesson.
