- Set in 19th-century Southern Spain, this successful TV series features the endless adventures of Curro Jiménez (prototype of the Andalusian "bandolero"), a kind of Spanish Robin Hood, and his gang, the two main members of which are El Estudiante and El Algarrobo. The plot changes in every episode, but all have the theme of the legendary bandit--fair, brave, and good-natured--who leads the guerrilla against the French troops during the Spanish War of Independence. There are love stories, fights against injustice, and even some comic episodes.
- A French detachment arrives at an inn carrying a shipment of gold. Different bands plan to seize the gold, reaching unsuspected situations for everyone.
- Curro and his men go to an arms purchase deal but the dealer's nephew kills him and blames Curro Jiménez.
- Curro Jiménez, Pedro Higueras and Víctor Areco, leaders of three groups of bandits from the Andalusian mountains, interview each other, at the request of the second. The meeting is held on neutral ground and each attends with three of his gang.

- A Scottish nobleman condemned to death chooses to die drowned in a barrel of sherry from a special harvest. As the winemaker refuses to sell that wine, an English lord hires Curro Jiménez to provide it.
- The Countess of Palma goes to a convent in search of her niece Mercedes, but finds out that the young woman went to the mountains with the bandits. Don Mariano, usurer of Carmona, is going to donate an image of 'La Dolorosa' to the town church. The image is full of gold inside.
- The Marchioness of a town in Andalusia collect abusive taxes on people with the complicity of a French general. A potter and painter faces them risking his life.
