- Vendors crowd India's inter-state buses selling products as varied as their own life stories. A tragi-comic look at India's entrepreneurs.
- Within the confines of a Christian orphanage in Ethiopia, we witness the daily activities of its little inmates. About fifty children of all ages, from infants to adolescents, are taken care of by nannies, nurses and volunteers, while initiated to stringent religious education. The film explores the complex character of this unique community, based solely on observation, without the aid of commentary or interviews. We focus on the interaction between the staff and the children, the relationships among the children themselves, their perception of otherness, as well as the overpowering influence that religion has on daily life and education in this special "home" away from home.
- A journey into the life and circumstances of a young woman believed to be possessed by spirits in rural Rajasthan, India. A portrait of ritual and healing in a rigidly patriarchal society.
- A man's personal possessions are transported into his new space, gradually filling it to capacity, while a female voice keeps track of the inventory.
- In a ground floor flat a middle-aged woman sings a baby to sleep. Sporadic street images keep entering this private domain in the form of mirror reflections that catch her attention; they are obsessively reworked into a fictional scenario focusing on an impending arrival, which she longs for but at the same time dreads. Haunted by this vague expectation, she starts preparing for the reception of the imaginary visitor, while the initial selflessness and affection of the cradle song is gradually supplanted by the anguished narcissism of an introverted, delirious monologue.
- Inside a flat in a residential building, a young pianist plays one of the Six Little Preludes for Beginners by J.S.Bach. After the completion of the musical piece, we are successively transported into five adjacent flats, where the sound of the piano has simultaneously penetrated. In each one of these spaces we meet a single occupant in a characteristic solitary activity, which unfolds during the exact same time frame as the performance of the prelude and sends its own acoustic mark to the neighboring spaces. The five isolated, private monologues become thus interrelated. Through these common sound marks, they are orchestrated into one unified text with variations, founded on the melodic structure of the prelude.
- Josephine works as a babysitter in Athens. She returns to Sri Lanka one Christmas to meet her children after an absence of 10 years.
