Survive the Game (2021)
5 stars?
How did this piece of trash get 5 stars? This one of the worst movies ever. Stupid script that insults the viewer, very poor acting by everyone, and action scenes with little to no action (most of the action is the camera shaking around). Please, I beg you, don't waste your precious time on this movie. On your deathbed, you'll regret it.
Them (2021)
A waste of time
I started off liking this series. The first episode started out kinda slow, but held a lot of promise. The next couple of episodes started to develop a real thriller vibe and a cloak of mystery. It left you wanting to know what is happened to this family and get to the core of what evil was lurking in shadows. Then the wheel start to fall off. The plot becomes slow and tedious. The short subplot about the milkman becomes one of the most interesting parts of the show. The conclusion is full of plot holes and leaves you empty and confused. It's as if, while writing the series, the writers never had a conclusion in mind and just made it up at the last minute. There a lots of binge-worthy limited series out there, watch one of those and use your time more wisely. I wish I did.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Just plain awful
The first half of the movie looked promising, the last half was as bad as it gets. It's a waste of pixels.
Hollywood (2020)
Just plain awful.
I really wanted to like this, I but I didn't. A show should suspend disbelief, it did not.
Secret Obsession (2019)
Something smells
I was eating dinner while watching this film. I thought there was something wrong with the beef, but it turned out it was the movie that stank.
Mary Queen of Scots (2018)
Just plain bad.
An obvious attempt to rewrite history. There some positive things to say about this film, but none of them are associated with the plot or historical accuracy. Costume, cinematography, makeup, sound etc. are well done.
The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
Strong start, weak finish.
I want two things after a horror movie/book/mini-series, some sort of closure and an uneasy feeling walking down a dark hallway.
The series started out strong with lots of scary potential, but starts to disappoint halfway thru. The drama overtakes the plot and the scares become few and far between.
The ending provides closure to the plot, but is extremely weak and throws a wet blanket on a potentially scary ending. Overall, the series is a mash-up of This Is Us and an edited-for-television version of The Shining.
