Road House (2024)
Sweet baby Jesus, bad.
I have VERY low expectations for any remake of any classic movie... Red Dawn, Total Recall, etc. But I knew the day I saw this project announced it was going to be exactly what I watched. Actually, it was far worse. I honestly hope this was made as a "joke", but if it wasn't, allot of people in Hollywood should be fired. The young bookstore girl, painful to watch. The whole time I was meant to believe that this bar in "paradise" turned into Ukraine at night. Christ this was bad, I have to watch the original tonight to cleanse my memories of this abortion. I know Hollywood is all about money grabs, but Jesus, stop remaking movies if you're going to put the same amount of effort into the project as you would making coffee.
Miraculous - Le film (2023)
My dear God.
Let me first say that my daughters LOVE the series, LOVE IT. They have probably watched every episode 8 times. They even know every detail about the school, the families, and the entire city. Again, THEY LOVE THE SERIES.
With that said, THEY MADE ME SHUT THIS MOVIE OFF 25 MINUTES INTO IT (they also fast forwarded thru the singing.)
Don't ruin what has worked people. They never learn. I gave 3 stars because the animation was really well done. It stops at that. I heard my 8 year old finally say something "sucks"... That was about the singing. Even though the different voices bothered me, I probably would have given this 3 more stars without the singing.
Lightyear (2022)
I knew I loved cats
My 7 and 8 year old were bored so much they almost fell asleep. I didn't notice if they actually did, because I did.
The robot cat scenes were the best parts by far. Which is a huge problem.
THIS was Andy's favorite movie? That had to be a lie.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
I've never been so disappointed
I'm probably one of the biggest Matrix fans / supporters you'll ever find. I've seen the original movie countless times, I even went to see it again in IMAX two weeks ago. I even learned to appreciate 2 and 3.
I have learned over my 40+ years to control my expectations for anything I'm looking forward to in life. That being said, I was over the top excited to see this in IMAX tonight. I went with my friend who I went to see the original Matrix with in 1999. While walking out we just looked at each other and said the same thing. "Was that as bad as I think it was or am I missing something?"
The trailers were some of the best I've ever seen, the movie, was not.
I've never been so disappointed leaving a movie theater. I gave it three stars because I'm a life long fan.
Biggest issue... Supporting cast is brutal.
Luca (2021)
I know the dad!
It's Tim Lockwood from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! The whole movie I was like "I know this guy!"
The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021)
Didn't know what to expect.
My daughters and I watch a movie every Saturday night before they go to bed, and we usually just pick one and I cross my fingers that I won't be miserable for 2 hours. This movie was an absolute PLEASANT surprise. Great modern story, great adult humor, and AMAZING animation. A great family movie that will keep you laughing and entertained the entire time. I didn't watch the trailer and I didn't even know who did the voices in it. Watch this movie, with or without kids, it's a great watch.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Just watch this.
My fiance put this movie on, we had no idea what it even was about. What a great decision she made. Watch this film. Great job Netflix.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Watch it once to close the chapters.
I was very disappointed, but I was ready for what I saw. The daughter characters were awful, simply awful. The plot was bad, not because they didn't try, but because, what really could you do with this movie? It was just a bad story with two actresses (the daughters) that should only be doing "B" Netflix originals. The party is officially over, dudes.
Devs (2020)
Very addicting.
An original story with a great vibe. Very entertaining.
Trolls World Tour (2020)
As bad as the trail or makes it seem.
The first Trolls movie was well written, had a story, and was entertaining. This movie is ok if you're 4 or younger, other than that you'll be browsing Twitter 5 minutes into it. The dreaded sequel crash.
The Mandalorian (2019)
Well well well.
NOW I remember how great Star Wars could be! Better than any of the last 6 films by far, and we're only 3 episodes in. Great job.
Fractured (2019)
A good watch
I was actually entertained, good acting, great story, predictable, but I felt great ending. Give it a watch and judge for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
You'll remember any you miss BrBa
A great two hours, acting is superb. Leaves you wanting more as movies should.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Just go see this film, in fact, go twice.
I'm not going to retype all the great reasons to go see this film. Just go, pay whatever the ticket price is, buy your popcorn, sit there and enjoy John F'n Wick.
