Doonby (2013)
This one is hands down a masterpiece. The most underrated movie ever!
This movie got me hooked to the screen in just 3 minutes into the film; only a few movies has ever been able to do that to me! Scintillating with insights into the human psyche, this wonderful pro-life themed movie is about purpose in life and value of human lives. It also has a beautiful message on far-fetching consequences of our actions. John Schneider's mysterious and calm personality, and Jenn Gotzon's alcoholism were as perfectly done as the masterful cinematography.
Smitty (2012)
One of the most heartwarming, yet underrated feel-good movies
One of the most heartwarming, feel-good movies. It's so good because of the positive spirit in the movie. It's also one of the most underrated movies. Teaches you a lot of life-lessons. Commendable direction. The film ends with a beautiful message. A must watch for drama fans.
Call Me Crazy: A Five Film (2013)
Life changing movie.
Hands down the best movie I have watched. As a psychotherapist myself, this wonderful movie has lent me a new perspective on life and mental illness. Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression and PTSD (a type of anxiety disorder) have been depicted so perfectly, it doesn't have a precedent in entertainment media. Brittany Snow's acting was flawless. Serene soundtrack and impeccable direction has made the movie even more awesome! It's like the movie is an internship in itself. Need I praise more?
I Am Sam (2001)
It's not always about logic. It's more about love!
This movie will always occupy a special place in my heart. Outstanding acting by Sean Penn and young Dakota Fanning. Michelle Pfeiffer's smile stole my heart on this one. Fantastic storyline and direction. And an even better soundtrack by Hans Zimmer to embellish the fine movie.
Texas Heart (2016)
A true tearjerker. A beautiful movie of fate, humanity and redemption.
"You can run forever. But you can't run from your heart."
This beautiful movie is an emotional rollercoaster. Kam Dabrowski's acting was awesome! Wonderfully directed, starred and written.
The Giant Mechanical Man (2012)
Sweetness of actors and awesomeness of director!
After watching this movie, now I can safely say I have a favourite actress - Jenna Fischer. She was downright adorable in this movie with nuances of emotions so perfectly portrayed, it'd give me goosebumps. I could gaze at her smile for hours, and she'd have me go awww with her sweetness! Kudos to the director on this as well! Chris Messina was equally amazing. His acting skills made me look up more of his movies to watch. The Giant Mechanical Man is One of the best Romantic Comedies I've watched. It's plain unfair why the box office was so low. Makes me think, why don't all people like good stuff? The answer is in the movie itself.
Last Cab to Darwin (2015)
A life changing film couldn't be simpler, more realistic and convincing than The Last Cab to Darwin.
A life changing film couldn't be simpler, more realistic and convincing than The Last Cab to Darwin. Makes you ponder, contemplate and weep, as you learn to revalue life. All characters performed flawless, impeccable acting, right down from the dying old man, the 'lunatic,' the carer who develops a profound bond with the protagonist, and the 'mentally strong lady.'
Peter Rabbit (2018)
The perfect movie for everyone!
It'll make you smile and laugh no matter your age. CGI is awesome! Cast is excellent. Rose Byrne and Domnhall Gleeson's acting were one of their best. Screenplay is wonderful!
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
Incredibly hilarious, stunning visuals, impeccable acting, great details.
First of all, the acting skills of Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart deserve a standing ovation. Kevin Hart was absolutely in his best self in this movie. The superb cast of Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Kevin Hart coupled with Karen Gillan's beauty makes this movie most interesting. Once you are into it, you can't help but notice the stunning visuals; thanks to the Kualoa Ranch private nature reserve, where the movie was filmed. The storyline is excellent, with every detail taken care of - right from how swash plates of a helicopter blade control the pitch of the blades, creating thrust, to how game environments often defy real world physics. The slapstick humour adds to the comical charm of this wonderful movie - a mind freshener for the whole family.
Geostorm (2017)
The most underrated SciFi movie. A must watch for all SciFi lovers!
Geostorm is probably the most underrated scifi movie of all time. It features sensitive elements of emotion and messages of philosophy, all enhanced by the brilliant visuals and realistic CGI. It's probably the most visual-rich film I've seen. Butler's acting is very good. Though the plot and ending are a bit predictable, it's not the plot that's important in disaster movies. It's the message; it's the emotions of the suffering; it's the human will, and this movie beautifully catches all that. Bass-rich sound-effects subliminally add to the thrill of watching. A must watch for all SciFi lovers!
The Discovery (2017)
One of the most hypnotic movies after Solaris, having far-flung implications.
The beautifully directed and acted movie sends out a powerful message with the implication that suicide is not the way to reach an afterlife, which is indeed an alternate reality from our own reality, where we get a second chance to correct our mistakes. A thorough exploration and masterful presentation makes the movie a masterpiece.
Pulling Strings (2013)
This fine movie will pull at your heartstrings, making it sing.
Finely acted by Laura Ramsey and Jaime Camil, this is a fresh romance plot with apt twists and turns to keep you glued to the screen. Laura and Jaime have got a good chemistry in this movie. Soundtrack is lovely enough to resonate with your heart. Watch with a loved one for a warm start to an amorous night.
The Shack (2017)
Full of internal meanings. Brilliant direction and acting.
This is absolutely the best Christian film I've ever seen. No movie ever gave me such chills. The film is full of internal meanings for them who like to think deeply and philosophically. There are strong meanings between words and changes of scenes.
This film strengthened my faith in God and His mysterious ways. An absolute must-see film for everyone who believes or has a hard time believing. Hats off to William Young, the author of' The Shack' and the awesome director of the film.
