The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
Don't know where the 1 stars come from...
I mean, This movies doesn't have the most elaborate of stories, but if you go in expecting a cute princessy disneysy christmas story, you won't be THAT disapointed. The visuals are stunning, and so is Mackenzie Foy (I feel like they knew that, because there were lots of shots of her face). Her acting was adequate, and this movies doesn't lack big names.
Overall, if you're like me and like seeing movies that are treats to the eyes, then don't let all the negative reviews stop you from watching it.
Lost in Space (2018)
Not perfect, but it doesn't need to be perfect to be entertaining.
Okay, so here's the thing. This show is obviously big budget. Everything is good besides some of the writing. For example, I thought some of Will's lines were sooooo cringy. He's a kid. A supposedly very smart one, sure, but some of his lines just aren't what a kid would say. Also, not too fan of how "disney" his relationship with the robot is. Like, it's supposed to be a serious sci fi show, but it feels like a kid's movie everytime Will and the robot is in the same scene.
I Kill Giants (2017)
Very...Interesting. Definitely not what the poster portrays.
Wolfe's acting really made this movie. The acting overall, including Poots', actually saved the movie, I think. Why? the cinematography and artistic choices were pretty good, the story and what it wants to show is very nice indeed, but the movie, at least its first half, is boring.
Only in retrospective can you really judge it as a whole. That's why I give it an 8. It would've been a 7, but the message was delivered very well, and so 8.
