Having grown in a country that endured 30 years of civil war and having witnessed some of it real life, and the actual impact it has - how it lingers - I have to say (unless is based on a book), the director really thinks a civil war is like any other war America fights. Good movie technically, and one amazing Kirsten's acting, her face tells the story of someone who actually knows civil war - back home we used to have a journalist just like her, once he was asked why you are always so serious on camera? His answer? Do you really think with all I report, I have a reason to smile? So, reality of a civil war? No!

It has been a while since I have reviewed a title, this one because I am a fan of Zack Snyder - I had to. I think in the end there will be a debate about director's cut and stuff, but this one is not only about how this movie was chopped at the editing room - but nothing also really works, action scenes are blend, really weak, the story is non-existent, the world building is interesting but never quiet convinces, the secondary characters have no role... I was really excited about this one, but I am starting to think Mr. Snyder needs to find his spark back.

Simply put it as it stands - a bad movie!

This is simply bad, the character, just flies, seriously, I think the only time he walks in the movie is likely once. Dwayne Johnson is very one-dimensional to his performance likewise the other protagonists, the story is weak, sounds like a cheap attempt of an even worse Batman Vs. Supermen (check ridiculous final villain) and a poor imitation of Zack's Men of Steel (check fight scenes). The Justice society is just awkward, can't understand why this one character always have the scenes shot in slow motion:(... Seriously, is hard to think of any good thing about this picture, and the fact that it is struggling so bad at the box office probably attests two things, 1) the movie is bad (my take), 2) People are tired of superhero movies (my take too...)

The movie is confusing, rushed, badly acted (or badly directed), poor editing... It's a disaster of a movie like it is trying to be... Rolland still good at disasters, but the lack of interest in proper development... If he continues embracing these poor like projects he may end up hurting himself.

This is a really nice combo, of a great story with good acting. Nothing is over the top, yet everything is just good enough to make it enjoyable. This movie is a comedy, is a drama, has some nice action, and there's some subtle and yet strong human/political messaging that's worth reflecting through, even if it may sound absurd... We humans proved time and time again that we can make reality (facts) into absurdity, so good reflection on what that absurdity may lead us.

For this movie to be rated as high as it is, is at the very least confusing. It is certainly a good movie, in my opinion not the best from this spidy... I belive far from home is still better. Better action, better story and even the emotional aspect I found it better. Now this one, think of it as a small scale end game... And that's where I think they miss the mark, the movie rushes into the multiverse, like really rushed into it, and then there is this second act trying to give development to this villains but again rushed, feels really rushed and without you knowing Oops, spidey is on this last fight and the movie is ending? Uhm. And yes. Probably the best of the movie is really the last fight scene, and yes the story has matured, and yes is a good movie. But I feel is rushed and that is where I remove stars.. End game was bold because they knew they had to tell the story before the action without feeling like action was still happening, so they used run time for that, here I would probably add a solid 45 minutes. If well developed that additional time would not feel tiring. But here again, an entertaining piece.

Nothing is over the top, everything is well balanced, the 1st act focused on the war and building up the story, doesn't disappoint as a war action... Well against aliens. But what I truly loved was the second act, around 1:15 runtime there is a deeply emotional scene and Yvonne Strahovski is just amazing and credible... 3rd act is mostly predictable and yet highly enjoyable. A true entertaining movie. Yeahi!

That is it... I really will miss it. It's the best cop TV show out there. Great performances, real feel detetive type of work... Real feel life stuff... And I have never seen a show that's not action PACKED and yet you don't take your eyes off the TV.

Start by saying that I still have faith in Zack Snyder!!! He will bounce back at some point - and return or do better in what made him a household name, that is innovation.

Sorry to say that AoD is not one of those. I had to watch the movie in 3 parts, two different days - and 2+ hours is not that long of a run time let's be real, but the movie just was not engaging. The action does nothing different/new; the story itself it is as flat as it could've been and the additional plots - where drama was meant to derive - are just annoying. In the end a person is left without knowing what he is aiming for - it seemed he wanted to achieve some diversity (diverse in casting and the roles they played...) highlights but misses it! I think of movies like WWZ - it's non-stop action, and yet can be said to be very intelligent, this is none of that. I think what is leaving me confused about his latest debuts is this urge to stretch narratives for whatever reason and still not adding lot (Justice League...), he seems to be more successful when he focuses in letting the action inform the narrative rather than the opposite (300, Man of Steel...). However this is my review, and I'd argue that the current 6.1 at the moment of this attest to that, but because opinions vary...

Nope. With the tech of today expected more... If it wasn't for the association with the game wouldn't finish it... Hope they try again.

These reviews, both users as well as "critics" are honestly proving me there's a lot of buying in this industry... I mean the fact that he added 2.5 hours filled with just back stories does not mean necessarily the movie all of a sudden is better... ask yourself, should Zack finished the first one was that going to be 4hours long? Now I like Zack Snyder, but there's nothing here that justifies this 8.4 review - this is exactly the same movie with the same flaws as the original, only longer. The story is weak, the action scenes are weak, actually nothing really new here, and the score so out of sync - all the time the amazon's team came in just broke the rhythm of the whole sequence - bad editing... When I look at this movie, the only good add is the higher presence of darkseid... I don't think DC has what it takes to become DCU... my opinion.

This is a good movie... First act is action, emotive, human at every level, no crap. 2nd act a bit stretched but good enough to glue it. 3rd act while expected still engaging enough to make you move through the end. This is not a disaster movie, it is a movie about the will to survive, with a disaster as the "green screen".

Definitely an interesting storyline to it and indeed overall a good movie. The highlights here are the lead characters. If it wasn't for the lack of logical or illogical explanation to things... at whatever level, this would be a much higher rating. But still if the intention is to let your imagination create realities of its own, then we'll done. Good one.

The best cop TV show; the innovative take on making each season the subject of one main crime is genius; makes the whole detective investigation process so believable, compared to shows that one episode is all it takes to solve complex cases. Really good stuff.

Go look..as soon as he started incorporating "minorities" playing lead roles, his ratings started scrambling... just check. Now to the movie; it is ok! I think there's good build up to an outcome mostly predictable yes, and while he tries to not make it so predictable, it ends up like that. I think the first two acts of the movie were actually being well constructed, but then the last act seems rushed - it could be that there was not enough script development to fill in or studio pressure to cut the movie run time - and the ending is overly simple. But one can still enjoy the effort, the diversity in the movie and, the possibility of understanding the world he tried to portray. I liked Bobby Soto as lead; he pushed himself hard to bring depth to the role and for most part feels credible, and Shia LaBeouf, he is good too, finally has the kid feel stripped off him and it feels great.

Not sure what the critics saw that was so bad with the CGI on buck the dog... if anything the ability of having animal like emotions displayed felt much better than looking at lions trying to speak...I thought the movie was well put together. Harrison Ford does a very simple yet good performance, the narrative is simple and easy to figure out for adults but still very relate-able and, the whole journey of the protagonists is really good a true adventure of self-discovery... What really told me that the movie nailed it, was when in the end I asked my 9 year old, what was it all about... and she goes it's about being you, not letting others tell you what you can or cannot do... and my 12 years old, goes like it's about finding your place in the world...take the kids, have them be quite and listen...they might just get some life lessons out of it.

I don't usually go watch animated movies - very rarely, but in light of the lack of new releases (at least interesting enough for me...) I decided to tag a long with the kids and watch this one... The first surprise was to see how busy the room was - on Christmas day - that was really a surprise, secondly although a very simple story, the fun is there and I kept on listening to the little ones sending some nice laughters and grown ups as well. Is definitely one with a message that spams generations but, will resonate a lot with the kids of this generation. Is fun, has a message, it's action packed and you know what, with a little more investment this one has the potential to have a part 2...

You know when the movie was sold it seemed it was gonna be all speed chases and stuff... well it is not. This one is definetly a good time burner and, for those Who cannot live without some story and character development in a movie... you get some of that too. For a guy like me that these days is looking forward more to Just enjoying a good, fun movie without having to get my brain in trying to be a puzzle master, I get that too. It is a well balanced achivied movie. Enjoy.

To rate this movie a 1/10 is nothing but pure hate or something else... Won't even mention it but People will understand... The first two acts of this movie are as thrilling as any thriller can go, and as for the conclusion, yeah the bad guy dies, but some other elements in the end wasn't as obvious as some are trying to paint... This is not perfect almost feel like The last installment of Bourne... You know People these days they Won't even be honest with themselves and wil mascared their reviews following haters critics hinting The writing / script to blame... Just because someone says... a stupid and rather BASIC way of hiding your True feelings...

The movie doesn't add any New element from The previous...if anything The subplots are a good attempt. It is still incredibly violent, brutal and emotionally touching at times. Some other Fuqua movies I felt user ratings where a bit of hatting but not this one. I think he did not do anything that created tension anticipation, thrill. Denzel on the other hand kils as always... If any 3rd installment is on the plan maybe a other writer with co-direction Michael Man could help...

I guess, given the director it shows he is starting to create a very particular style of film making...

This film is complex yes, but has a lot of chilling moments... the movie is not without interesse just because is complex. One can argue it frustrates a bit for delivering a feelling of what a heck just happened!!! There are a lot of movies like that... it does not mean it is not good.

The female characthers are great, the leading actor and actress do a good job, and I believe Natalie Portman portrays some nice depth and intensity to a characther that probably didn't need, but elevated the personal expegrience...

I recommend you go watch - the one thing you may end realizing is that this movie is ultimatelly about inner reflection about the oposite of ourselves.

This is likely the less achieved movie from the DC universe...almost worse than the suiced squad if not really worse. The story of the movie is weak and I agree with those that say it feels rushed.. It does and it is. While I have been an advocate of marvels simplicity I don't buy into simplicity without fun or tension. And this movie has no fun or tension. Jokes... Not funny. Storyline not cohesive and special effects too weak for 300MM. Goods some of the opening scenes, Diana does well the amazons as well. Superman feels to overpowering but OK...but overall does enough to watch fro a TV release... Didn't get why the score is not a follow up from BVs,SM..sad. They simply are not getting it right. A tip for DC WB studios Marvel brought individual stories first didn't try to justify them inside the main movie...you tried to build the stories inside the storie...stole you time...valuable time that would make this one better.well 5/10

It's sad that such a good movie gets ruined by the hype of 3D. This one on my opinion didn't work with 3D, and that is the fundamental flaw in regard to this movie. I just cant pass the fact that images seems to small, spacecraft that looks like flies, people that looks like dummies for being so small on screen and jump straight to looking normal size...anyway those are technicalities.

Now to the movie - Am I wrong or is this using the same soundtrack as DC's League? Works! Great sound editing great soundtrack that fits the mightiness of Thor. As always not a lot of swirl around the story line, that continues to be for me one key ingredient for the success Marvel Studies have been gaining with its movies when comparing to the DC Universe. Simple, straight to the point and straight to the action (after all I don't believe people going to watch super-heroes movies are expecting reality) - so the key is then entertainment. And Marvel does this well. It treats super heroes movies like comic books with motion. That's it.

The action is good - (again 3D damages some of it) - The Lord of thunder is awesome the special effects plus the sound mix - makes it really entertaining. Kate Blanchet - how do they do it? If being a goddess of death is this hot...nice refreshing act from her... on less common note that the one she's known mostly for...

A Hulk that have conversations? straight funny. Valkyrie, nicely played, Loki always entertaining and one Idris Elba that is simply convincing as the one that sees it all...

Apart of the 3D, if one thing I would like more - Hulk and Thor fight.

It feels this is not the last stance - so looking forward for the next one... if possible 3dless.

I will only say damn... that's how I felt when it finally finished. Itis good action. Simple! Makes you wanna live the story. Makes you feel alive. Bring good vibes... And feels real. It is like a XXI century Bonnie and Clide. If you have not seen it, go see it. If you are feeling down, go watch it... if you are feeling up go watch it too.

There were a lot of hyped movies coming throughout the year, but after interstellar, I was only really looking at what was Mr. Nolan's next move... when I saw Dunkirk and realized it was a war movie, I couldn't avoid but having an "iffy" gut...but here we are and Dunkirk is another Christopher Nolan's masterpiece.

This movie from a cinematographic point of view is spectacular... I mean I am not expert to speak about the Imax cameras and 16 mm or something, but for a movie that doesn't lean into the 3D " frenzy schizophrenia" this blows one away... please watch it in a movie theater... not suitable for rooms/TV if you really want to live and feel the movie... the photography is awesome, the takes really great, the feel of the movie feels like...WAR...

What I really like in this movie is the survival and the war drama element to it... Sometimes war movies seems to organized to be true, I mean people in the war... This show case various situations where even though officers were in command, not always seemed that there was full control over the troops... and this feels like true... the plane wars, amazing! The survival from young soldiers really great... the civilians commitment to support their soldiers really emotional... Overall it is great, the special effects...

What also makes this movie great are the actors, simple lines, great acting... raw emotions, true emotions... every single one of them were great...

If there is one thing I question in this one, is the stories connection, not sure if Mr. Nolan's techniques of reverse storytelling plays it right here...But overall a 7+ movie...highly recommended.
