tick, tick...BOOM! (2021)
Andrew Garfield can sing and he is GOOD!!!!! With Lin-Manuel Miranda making a smashing directorial debut
Yes.....Andrew Garfield can sing and he is GOOD!!!!! The now well known but short lived Jonathan Larsen amazes viewers of all his wonderful songs he wrote which makes this film even more powerful. As a new director, Lin-Manuel Miranda, deserves an Oscar for best Director for directing his first film like a pro. If LA LA Land was a true story and took place in New York than it is this film for sure. Give it a watch on Netflix.
West Side Story (2021)
Steven Spielberg doesn't disappoint and actress Ariana DeBose like Rita should win the Oscar for supporting actress.
I was able to see an early press screening of this film before it was released due to my great friend Ryan Jones. Let me tell you Steven Spielberg doesn't disappoint with this musical. The cast, music, lighting, cinematography, and real locations were out of this world. This film will definitely get some Oscar nominations. I wish Steven would have gotten into musicals earlier. Being a fan of the original film I thought Steven hit the mark and did this films legacy justice. I was very happy that Rita Moreno got to have a big part in the film. I hope the new actress Ariana DeBose like Rita wins an Oscar for supporting actress.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
A movie with Charm that will make you smile
I miss judged this movie from the trailers. The Rock and Emily both did a great job with their characters. This movie is to have a good time with a few laughs here and there. Was able to see this early at the exclusive Hollywood Premier at the El Capitan theater.
Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966)
Cinematic Western at it's Finest
The man with no name is back. This film captures great cinematography with great execution of acting without dialogue. " There are two kinds of people; Those with loaded guns in those who dig" -Clint Eastwood
Onward (2020)
A movie of Brotherhood, family, and sacrifice
This film is a great film about a siblings coming together and finding how thankful they are to have each other. The film did well with its script with seed planting in the beginning for the climatic reveal. I would recommend this film to families and individuals. Pixar made another great emotional film. I thought Onward accomplished a better bond between siblings than Frozen had done. Overall it was entertaining, inspiring, joyful, and emotional
