Uncle Grandpa (2010)
Oddly and Weirdly Great
When I first heard of this show that was coming to CN, I quickly disregarded it, and didn't give it a chance at first. Now don't get me wrong, I tend to be a very open minded person, but since Cartoon Network has been releasing out all these new shows every other week, it makes it hard to know which ones will be good and which ones are going to stink (,unless of course you have the much time to waste). Considering I'm not much of a TV person and more computer, I didn't really get around to sit down and watch it until my sister started watching it herself! Now when I first heard this, I thought it was absurd! "How could she like that show?" it was just interesting, so I finally broke down and decided to give it a watch since she seemed so impressed with it. One viewing later, I couldn't believe it, this show was oddly good! (Now onto the show review itself)
Okay, this show is just plain weird, and when I say weird, I mean weird. You have Uncle Grandpa himself, an old man with rainbow suspenders and a talking fanny pack named Belly Bag, also he travels in an RV with his friends, Pizza Steve, Mr. Gus (,who I'm pretty sure is Godzilla), and Giant Realistic Flying Tiger who flies by shooting rainbows out her posterior. (Yeah, it's a girl e_o)O_O Woah, woah, woah, WOAH. SAY WHAT? That was my first reaction. It's like the producer(s) got high and then just came up with these in a forts night! But strangely enough, they are all unique and I love them each for their distinguishing personalities.
Now when it comes to shows or movies, I am not an extremely picky person, but this show blew me away. When it comes to having to sit down for at least 5 minutes, I tend to get shaky and can't watch the whole thing because I'm not entertained enough. But with this show, it keeps my attention until the very end. Which made me question, why? Well, it hails back to the 90s cartoon, Ren and Stimpy. That show was crazy, insane, and plain out great! Which probably explains why UG works so well with me. It's weird, I'm weird, it's a great pairing.
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (2008)
Puts the Amazing in Spider-Man
What can I say? I love this game to death! It was the first Spider-Man game I have ever played and one of the best I have ever played.
Pros:
*First off, I love the story! As a big fan of the symbiotes, I found the story to be very entertaining.
*Venom looks great! I love the voice acting as well, it very chilling and creepy, always sends shivers up my spine whenever he speaks; just how Venom should be interpreted
*The Black Suit and Red Suit choices were excellent! I love how there are 4 different endings and how each decision you make in the game can alter the game play and ending~
* The Ally and Villain symbiotes were lovely~ I loved how the symbiotes change and mutant each and every one into an abomination, I have to say my favorite by far was Symbiote Wolverine and that distorted voice...
Stuff That Was Okay:
*The animation in some parts of the game was kinda stiff looking, but it's not too horrible or affect the overall view of the game for me
*The voice acting for Peter was OK, I really didn't find it too terrible. Although yes, it was a tiny bit annoying at some points it's not the worst voice acting for Spidey I've ever heard
*The endings I felt were a bit short, they just come and go. I kinda wish they made each one at least a minute or such longer to give you more satisfaction for beating the game
Cons:
* Health, I felt as there should be a way to regain health instead of it generally recharging overtime; this made it a bit too easy to beat the game as I view it
* In my perspective, I wish Venom was more included in the game. But hey, that's just my opinion
Overall: I love this game like I said before, if you're Spidey fan like me I suggest checking it out!
Well, that's my little review! I hope you guys thinks it's fair, it's my first ever review!
