Just blatantly stupid, to an insulting point. Storyline is dumb, pace is slow and boring, dialogues are childish... it was so bad I'm even angry at myself for watching it to the end in a stupid hope that it'd get better... spoiler: no, it does not.

Characters are childish chalk drawings, empty, vague, pointless. The love story is ridiculous, action scenes boring and predictable, even the music score is something to be forgotten.

I guess the high ratings correspond to comic enthusiasts that enjoyed it, and I respect that, but still can't imagine how someone may enjoy this long, slow, pointless wreck.

Simply insufferable... slow, boring nonsense. Characters are soulless, whilst the great names you see in the credits are there 20 out of the 130 minutes of painful slow torture. It was 4 of us today at the cinema watching this and we all struggled to wait until the end credits. I'm sorry for the producers and all the people that put their efforts into this movie... but it's among the worst I've watched ever... conceited, trying to seem profound whilst being blatantly stupid. Please avoid.

I dunno how to describe this movie... its something between awful and boring, laughable and infuriating... the story, the script, the acting, the action scenes, even the music! Are so, SO BAD!!! That I can't do less than shouting out: please, run, run away from this movie!

The plot, written by a lazy five-year-old kid who's problem is not the lack of some lyrical poetry skills, but is just incapable of writing two meaningful lines of text, is childishly stupid, the action scenes absurd and the fighting scenes just laughable... man, the "super brilliant idea" to win the battle in the last quarter of the movie is so, SOOOOO STUPID that I was dying of embarrassment.

And here comes the worst part: some of these facts could be forgettable if the movie was not SO BORING... but no, it's just boring as hell.

It's up to you, of course, but I'd really refrain from even trying to watch this pile of detritus.

I can see the good intentions in the writer... but... this movie was simply terrible; horrid script, disappointing acting, awful action scenes... it was slow, boring, nonsense... that intendedly profound pace and storyline was just atrocious... I'm sorry, but I can't say anything good about it. I'd simply suggest you to run away from it and throw your time away in any other better way than watching this.

...no, don't take it seriously, as the movie doesn't take seriously itself. It's as funny as it's silly, and that's what makes it enjoyable. Characters are all dumb, the good guys are no saner than the cartoon-looking bad guys, the story is just the basement for a set of somehow childish jokes that, even being a grown up, I really enjoyed when I watched it a couple of decades ago. I decided to watch it again today, to find that it's still funny enough to have a nice time in the couch.

I enjoyed this mystery-drama story. I enjoyed how the storyline is not told linearly, not to confuse the viewer but to make sure we learn from the characters at the intended moment. Nice directing, nice music (despite the awful and nonsense main title which sounds "nice" but which's lyrics make absolutely no sense at all) and very beautiful and well chosen locations... but... but... man, we have way better actors/actresses in Spain! No mean to offend anybody, but I had to make great effort to ignore how unreal and forced they all sound to enjoy the story. Both literature teachers are played by somehow decent actresses, but the students? Mauro? German... man... no way. I would recommend this show, as I enjoyed it, but please don't blame me if you also find the acting mediocre (if not awful), I warned you :)
