I saw Bad Boys: Ride or Die, starring Will Smith-Emancipation, Suicide Squad; Martin Lawrence-Death at a Funeral, Wild Hogs; Eric Dane-Euphoria_tv, Grey's Anatomy_tv and Joe Pantoliano-Hide and Seek, Daredevil.
This is the fourth in the buddy/cop franchise that started in 1995. Will and Martin return with some changes since the last time you saw them. Will is now married and Martin has a heart attack-mainly from his eating habits. If you remember, Joe-their Captain-was killed in the last movie and now, someone is framing him as a corrupt cop. Joe being dead, has several scenes that are done on video. The villain of this movie is Eric. Will and Martin must clear Joe's name and restore his dignity so as you can see, there is not much new plot wise here, but it is executed brilliantly. It has the action, violence, humor and overall camaraderie that you would expect. For those still upset with Will slapping Chris Rock on that awards show, Will gets his comeuppance here-he gets slapped. There are a few cameos too; I saw Michael Bay-the director of the first 2 films-D J Khaled and Tiffany Haddish.
It's rated R for violence, language and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 55 minutes.
If you liked the previous entries in this series, you should like this one too-I did.
