Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
As bad as it can get
And I thought Eternals was bad - this sequel goes "unbearable" well beyond anything in the MCU. When did Thor become a comedy?
The dialog was written by a kid probably and everywhere I turned they had a Guns n Roses song just because. I like the band but it felt forced.
Did Christian Bale read the whole script? - he must be regretting agreeing to this although the couple of minutes his character appeared is what kept me awake.
Saw it on Disney+ still felt like a waste of my ISP bandwidth. Since Marvel quality has gone down I will probably wait for all their future movies to arrive on streaming and watch then when I get extremely bored.
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
What happened?
After Doc Octopus, this should have been easy, just duplicate the second movie. Don't experiment too much.
Well, for whatever reason, this was a mess. Too many villains, Venom didn't have to be here. Mary Jane in danger again? Is there no one else to put in jeopardy? Peter crying over MJ, then dancing like an idiot on meth...the list goes on and on.
What I did enjoy was Sandman and Harry's character arcs - the rest was rubbish. Oh, and JJ Jameson was fun to watch - he should have his own movie.
Sony ruined a good series with this one.
Jupiter Ascending (2015)
So bad, repeat: so bad!
Mila looks ashamed of appearing here. That sums it up.
Tatum's character looked like Spock's (Star Trek) forgotten cousin. Really, makeup team, that's the best you could come up with?
The story is boring, awful and you lose interest in the first 20 minutes; F/X seemed unconvincing or cheesy in some areas. I kept thinking how come you're shooting up a city, buildings, cars- yet you don't see a single soul either taking pictures, looking scared, running etc.
Things like that kept bugging me in many scenes.
If you're expecting a sci-fi like Matrix or something like that, look elsewhere.
What a waste of 2 hours.
Dynasty (2017)
What a joke
I was a fan of the original Dynasty and watched most of it on re-runs.
I can say that Fallon was a good choice, also Blake...the rest is bad. The stories are extremely campy, is this a comedy, a drama or a soap?
Blake is a secondary character, given little to do as the series focuses on Fallon and a bunch of lifeless gay characters.
I tortured myself through 3 of the season 2 chapters and there's one where they go to Paraguay to "build" houses, another chapter focuses on a palm reader, and another on a dream sequence around Fallon.
After that, no more. There are many better ways to waste my time than this.
This seems misguided - to what type of audience are they aiming for?
Venom (2018)
Fun movie
I had a blast watching this. It has fun moments, good F/X, and a decent script. It's not perfect but not a failure like some critics have said.
I wish it had R-rated scenes since it looks like that was the original intention but other than that it is what it seems to be in the trailers- a fun movie that met my expectations. We want more Venom!
