Dhoom:3 (2013)
Sub-Standard direction + aamir best as usual + can wait for CD
~~Direction: Sub-standard~~ ~~Action: Sub-standard~~ ~~Aamir: Best as usual~~ ~~Abhishek/Uday: Film can do with lesser role of'em~~ ~~Katrina: Learned dance~~
#Aamir# tried his best to make movie look good. #Vijay Krishna Acharya#(director) did his best to ruin it.
My thinking in whole movie--- First 40 minutes: Why did I come for the movie. 40 minutes-to-intermission: M still convinced that I wasted money. Intermission-to-end: Flawed script and action sequences, Aamir's good part.
So, the verdict is you can wait for the CD to launch and watch movie on your home-theater. Not worth wasting money in theater.
Cell Count (2012)
Grabbing Story.. Builds eventually but does not end well
You can go for this one..! Director does well in moving story forward and building the plot, but somehow in the end its all NOT COMPLETED! I was like "is movie finished?" But heard about the Cell count 2, I hope he has answers to the question left behind. I am waiting for it.
You should not expect much from director working on with grade B film; Now I don't expect director to answer all the questions (seriously), as there are some loop holes in the story and characters as well. But he has done fine job in completing movie.
Some parts of the movie I just scrolled ahead to get to the more interesting stuff. Background of story seems quite intriguing. Gruesome scenes were done quite well... Considering the budget of film.
Addio ultimo uomo (1978)
See it for something you may never see again...
Antipathy may be the first emotion when you start watching this but its all ceremonious. You have to see it to know that something like this is still happening which you would have think happened only during man-as-a-nomad days. It shows their age-old rituals for several occasions, out of which some I understood some are still a conundrum. I still wonder why these rituals are performed. It seems as we advance in society we cut short everything for good (for bad?).
This may contains inappropriate contents for some; can be considered gory but still shows the truth. The scenes in the movie are the one which are not shown in 99% of movies. A raw movie can be the perfect term for this; it prompts emotion during every scene but not like we have experienced or seen; like an uncut diamond, valued but needs polishing.
It reminds me of bush-man that we all have relished in 'Gods must be crazy', though this time bush-men doesn't comes in our territory instead we go in theirs.
Being created long back, I wonder if its still happening. Now after seeing this movie, I am thinking to pack my bags and see it all live the way it is happening. A must watch!
