Lemonade Mouth (2011)
All-around good movie
Everyone in my family is 15+ years, but we'd heard a lot about this movie, so we decided to watch it - and loved it! It is an all around good movie for anyone to watch. No sex, violence, swearing, etc. making it a good family film. The music, acting, and story keep older family members entertained - mostly the music, for my family at least. The songs are still going through my head!
The only thing that parents might want to be warned about, is that one of the themes, beside friendship, seems to be to question authority. One other slight problem might be that the dad of one of the teens in the movie has a much younger, 28 yr. old, girlfriend.
Brigit Mendler is a very talented actress with an amazing voice! Her co-stars are all extremely talented as well. I see a bright future for all of them!
Hannah Montana (2006)
eh...
I'm a teenager who has watched pretty much every episode...some were funny...very, very few were funny and i decided to put in my two bits miley Cyrus cannot act; billy ray Cyrus shoulda stuck with DOC. Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, Jason Earles, and Moises Arias were pretty much the real stars of the show.
I realize it's a TV show for a reason, but it was totally unrealistic. if i had ever talked to either of my parents the way miley did to her daddy, my face would still be numb from getting backhanded. like others have said, the show makes it seem OK to treat your best friends like crap because they'll always come back. i've had friends like that...except after a few years of that kind of treatment, i didn't go back.
has anyone else noticed that it's never her fault? she can tell more lies than she can keep track of, and only gets a hug and a caution to learn from the experience.
i rated it a 5 ~ 4/5 stars are for the only characters who are actually entertaining, the last 5 is because some episodes were amusing.
