A good, funny, slightly naive comedy. I can't even imagine who would be cast as Brendan Fraser if not Brendan Fraser himself. Only he could play such a brutal big handsome guy with childish habits!
Christopher Walken as a caring father, a husband who is always on guard for his family (and it doesn't matter that he's been underground for 35 years, but it's safe) and loved ones. Honestly, when I saw the first frames of the film and Christopher Walken, I thought it was a thriller, in which Walken would play a maniac who locked his family in a bunker and would never let anyone out, I honestly didn't expect such a good turn of events, and it was a little unusual to see him in such a role.
In general, there is a good idea in the film: first, the parents raised a good son, invested in him, taught him the classical treatment of women (how all this is missing now!), and then he made the parents so happy by ensuring their old age.
Of course, the plot is fabulous, but this film can be watched again and again, it makes sense.
