American Assassin (2017)
Amazing how generic and boring this movie is.
I feel asleep watching it. And I love Michael Keaton but god he should have skipped this one. There is nothing to like about the main character. He has zero charisma. It's almost a comedy it's so bad. The movie poster should have just been a black barcode on a white background. It's that generic. They try painfully bad to make the main character some kind of bad a$$ but he is just a tool. Cannot act at all. The dialogue is so cheesy it's hilarious. Like watching a Naked Gun movie but without any of the laughs. It's truly bad and not bad in a good or funny way. It's just bad. So cliche. The best part is where Keaton is asking the main tool about the "mean old terrorists." This movie will appeal to stupid uneducated people. The people who like "Day After Tomorrow" and Bruce Willis films will think it's great.

They need to kill Ethan already...
This show could be awesome. Absolutely great IF they would fire the kid that plays Ethan. Seems like every good show had to have a kid to help create high drama and nine times out of ten these kids cannot act. Remember the little girl from "Pet Semetary" in the eighties? Yep. Same issue. Could not act and really ruined an otherwise great flick. This kid overacts so bad it's deafening to the story. Every scene he is in he ruins by speaking just a few lines. Furthermore he is not needed at all. All of this could be remedied if they would just kill his character off and then maybe visit his grave a few times.
Man on Fire (2004)
Could have been a 10, but...
The acting was great. The story was great. The directing was almost great. The editing was horrendous. Too many problems and oversights. The backwards cigarette that gets lit, the disappearing guy tied to the front of the car. Just a lot of goofs. Then you have the artistic scenes. The slow motion gets old. The flashing lights gives you a headache. The shaky camera work is ridiculous. Then you have the use of oversaturation and black and white effects. All used at the same time. It's mind boggling that a movie with this pedigree of actors and talent ended up being so messy. All that being said, it's still a great ride and worth watching. I really wish someone would re-edit this movie.
The Tank (2023)
The writers did zero research and it shows...
3 minutes in and it's already gone to crap. The movie takes place in 1978, yet Rocky 3 introduced Mr. T to the world in 1982. Why would this be so easy to overlook. These are the little details that hold a story back from being great. It really shows when someone writes a script and never does any leg work to rewrite and fact check. It looks sloppy. Cheap. What else can be said about something that would take only 1 minute to fact check and do a quick rewrite. They could have used any number of characters from 1978, but chose two that hadn't been introduced to the world. Work smarter next time and let someone read and edit your script.
The Good Doctor (2017)
Ridiculous...
Another idiotic and pandering show on the most idiotic and pandering network. For this that like this show, I said pandering. Not pandemic. I have to explain this because if you like this show then you have to be a total moron. It's like they took the worst parts of all the ABC shows and metals them into one unbelievably horrible bad show. If you thought that Grey's Anatomy was the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen, wait till you see what ABC does when they pair it with their second rate actor playing a third rate rain man and then throw in a little bit of another ABC gem called Doogie Howser. It's so bad it's the best comedy on ABC.
The Gray Man (2022)
I liked it better the first time I saw it...
When it was called Commando and Man On Fire. It's remarkable how alike these two movies are. Even down to the bad guys bad mustache. There is the elusive government trained killer who is smarter and always one step ahead of all the bad guys who are after him. The airplane escape scene is a nice touch. The kidnapping of a young girl, putting her in a room. By herself. I was waiting for her to use part of the door to help her with her escape. The hero gets really close to the young girl who is kidnapped and is shown in flashbacks how they got to be close. The movie is held together by the acting of Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. Not a bad movie that you've seen before.

Quantum Leap (2022)
Badly directed...
I can't figure out how shows like this that appear on HBO, or Hulu, or Fx, or AMC, can be be so awesome and incredible but when NBC, or ABC, or CBS makes a show like this it's ALWAYS terrible. This one is no different. The story itself is good, the FX and sets are cool, but the writing and exposition, as well as the acting, is so so so bad. Can these huge networks not hire a decent director? Maybe I am wrong? Maybe it's the producer that needs to step up? It's so poorly made. They need to hire someone to step in and help shows like this. They could start with hiring a better script editor and writers.
Samaritan (2022)
W-A-Y better than recent comic book movies...
"That hurt..." Better than Wonder Woman 84, Shang Chi, The Eternals, Black Widow and many other marvel and DC movies that have come out in recent years. Is it early Marvel Studios quality? Heck no! But compared to Aquaman it's at least as good if not better. It's light years ahead of others I mentioned and smokes recent Marvel TV shows. The kid in this is a great actor, and Stallone is totally believable as an over-the-hill superhero. I'm always amazed at how old Stallone is and how good of shape he keeps himself in. There are some moments where the writing and directing could have been a little tighter, but it's not too distracting. Some cliche moments but overall it's a great superhero film. I hope they will make a sequel and keep this story rolling. It could easily be a decent franchise for Amazon.
House of the Dragon: The Heirs of the Dragon (2022)
Hard to watch...
It seemed sort of cheaply made at first, but then the story gets rolling, the deaths start piling up, and you get immersed. It's quick to draw you in and you overlook its deficiencies.
Adeline (2022)
Stop the insanity...
There is no little man watching everyone everywhere all at once. Take a realistic look at what religion is. The Bible says it's true because it's the Bible. Really? Religion is a way for the powerful to keep control. You people who watch this movie and love it's "Christian Message" are all being duped. Wake up already.
Outer Range (2022)
What a waste of time...
It started out with so much promise. Then got so completely weird that it got in its own way. No point to the story. Good acting but terrible storytelling.
The Batman (2022)
Broke the physics of the work it created...
A bomb blows up in his face and he is unhurt. Then he gets pummeled with AR-15 fire from 6 feet away and from 4 different guns and he is fine. But a guy shoots him in the chest with a shotgun and he goes down and is barely able to recover? Physics of the movie made no sense. I also felt like they wanted it to be too believable. I can never see Solomon Grundy or Killer Crock existing in this world.
The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Nonsense and utter garbage
Two hours of my life I'll never get back. We all get it: you're quirky. Nonsensical verbiage is exhausting to the point of exhaustion. So it's exhausting for exhaustions sake?
See what I did there? Now go sit through 2 hours of this.
