From (2022)
Edge of My Seat
I was drawn in immediately and remained on the edge of my seat until the end. The plot is unpredictable, shocking, warming, frightening, humorous, and witty. The acting is top notch and realistic. I am looking forward to next season.
More monstors please!
Sing 2 (2021)
Amazing
What wonderful way to spend 2 hours? The music, animated sets, writing, voices overs, all came together for and uplifted me. Sing 2, took me to places I had not visited in a while. The memories of old songs and the places I experienced them made me young again. The new voices and arrangements kept me grounded in the present-to keep me from missing the movie before me. I laughed, nodded my head, tapped my feet and I sang along 2.
Helstrom (2020)
Think about it!
I think Disney should reconsider the position of cancelation. The show is unpredictable and unique-much better than some of the new shows produced within the Marvel Universe. It was layered and each episode more intriguing. The new shows feel like a band aid to a bigger problem, commitment to product development and growth. Fast food is the approach to almost everything these days.
Helstrom was a home cooked meal enjoyed over a glass of fine wine.
Wu-Tang: An American Saga (2019)
Wu Tang Clan-Upfront, Close and Personal
Well directed, the show is insightful and properly paced. It humanizes the rap game, by showing that everyone with a gun isn't an animal. The Clan was and is very talented. The diversity of the characters played would lend itself to friction and unrest. Instead, black brotherhood is illustrated. A common purpose unified them and can unify the world. I enjoyed the acting it was superb. The sensitivity of the writers as they wrote something up close and personal, whereby success was desperate and fulfilled, is so noted and appreciated.
I am looking forward to season 3.
Step Up: High Water (2018)
They Stepped it up!
The show is entertaining. The newcomers and seasoned actors bring it on. The dancers are amazing, and their musical talent is astounding. The entire cast and crew STEPPed it UP. They proved that there is skill required for hip hop and it has a message worthy of hearing. The show allows our minds and ears to comprehend it. Special talents are needed and can be used, if, you have the professional acumen needed and the ability to be able to work with others. But, we are reminded that there is always a cost and sacrifice required. The show is harsh, pleasant-so real that I forget sometimes that it is a fictional show that tells the truth.
Ne-Yo is believable and takes the show to a new level.
Greenleaf (2016)
I Miss You
Greenleaf is a masterpiece. Something the writers, producers, editors, actors, singers, musicians, director, crew, etc. Should be proud of. They are the unsung heroes who continue to rise and excel. Hollywood blinked which it should have been on its knees. Thank you all for a wonderful, meaningful, and entertaining show. You are missed.

The Big Leap (2021)
I Took The Big Leap
I took the BIG LEAP (watched the show) and landed on a BIG pile of hilarious parody. Scott Foley exaggerates to the brink of slapstick humor and is somehow believable. He is brilliant. He illustrates the lengths successful people will go to be successful-some lose their souls. Grounded in the truth of their talents, the cast ensemble keeps it interesting and inspirational. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance...BIG girls and old girls matter too.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Message...Think for Yourself
I enjoyed the slow pace of the series. It gave me time to process the world the residents lived in. Isolation brings about a unique outlook on family, life, currency, and religion. I live in the city. There was a lot culturally I had to digest. The characters were well developed as well as the plot. Time was a slower rhythm was needed for that. I a fast food world, I was nice to be able to sit down relax and enjoy the meal served.
I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the series was going to be another vampire slasher movie. It was so much more.
I gained a personal reflection. Religion belongs to man. Christianity belongs to all. It is of free choice with only one intercessor-Christ. If they had only listened to their hearts instead of a misguided leader, the story and outcome would have been different.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan (2021)
A Home is not a Home
The series rock. The casting and acting is top notch. This combined with outstanding writing creates rich texture. I feel and understand the characters to the point that I lose my moral compass at times.
Brother to brother, to sister, to son, the writers masterly developed a web that entwines death, with murder, and murder with love. It shows how family ties that bind override the rules of the streets.
For example: Raquel is a monster but she is also a loving mother. A committed young mother who loved, provided, and protected Kanan to the best of her abilities. It wasn't enough. Her stench of crime permeated and Kanan became foul in spite of her efforts to isolate him. Although I understand why she taught him how to be a good criminal-to save him from his continued missteps of the game-but his death would have been better. What mother can make a decision like that. The lives he took are meaningless because they are fictional. I forget that. The show is so well done I lose myself in it.
Bottom line she is a bad mother with good intentions. But coercing him into killing his own father, that is evil in its purest sense. That I will never understand.
The lesson I get from this, the home Raquel built wasn't a home at all. It was a hive of evil. Evil is evil no matter how it is served. But, what a ride. I can't wait to see what she does next.
Chapelwaite (2021)
Dark Shadows of the 21st Century
Chapelwaite has the familiar gothic feel of the popular long running series, Dark Shadows, but with a new twist on good versus evil. The triangle between family, the undeed family, and the outsiders provide multi-levels to the conflict and edginess of the plot. The behavior, dynamics, and interaction of the judgmental the nearby community provides a tangible earthiness and a few agreeing head nods. The acting is superb and the plot is unpredictable, which is uncommon in popular media.
Its a nail bitter...for sure. Oh! I need a manicure.
