Hibhage (2023)
Give this a hard pass
Probably the weirdest KDrama I have seen so far. The drama has a very stretched finding the serial killer storyline, like there had been so many deaths before finding the real suspect and then ending the series with two very lousy episodes! Like, with all those killings how can this end with a comedy? Yes, there were some reviews that this series have it all.. unfortunately, it didn't work. I should have trusted the reviews here. Haha. But yeah this is a weird one.. really strange. If u decide watching this, spoiler alert, prepare yourself for the last 2 episodes.. it will give you like, am I watching a different series now vibe. Too sad that my first Lee Min Ki series was this one! Haha.
Strong Girl Nam-soon (2023)
Just finished cos I started it.
Well, it started strong until it dragged on and on to one single issue all throughout the entire 16 episodes. Imagine taking this long to address that drug problem , I guess the reason shy the audience grew tired of the series. I just hope the antagonist here though had a better ending especially with the kind of the storyline this series built for him - it's korean style (like how they create drama for u to grow to love the characters) but only wasn't given justice. It is a very sad ending for him. There are also a couple of characters here in the series that you can take away and there will be no great of an impact if you remove them - like the two homeless couple in the beginning. They could have just been there consistently with the main character so as to add life to the main character cos seriously, the main protaganist's life is kind of boring.. like we haven't seen much of her in the series aside from her spy and police assistant role. If this would have another season, I hope there would be a more complex plot.
Red, White & Royal Blue (2023)
A fast paced version of the book
Well, if you read the book this movie adaptation may be a disappointment for you. Everything seemed so fast in the movie it's like all the important details from the book are overlooked and are not given justice. Similar to a comment here, maybe it this were a series, then it could have been a lot better. It's like the scenes just quickly pan from one scene to another losing the profound moments reflected in the book. Although quite understandable that they need to fit everything in 120 minute more or so into a movie.
One good thing here are getting these actors hot actors to play the gay roles. I wished though that the romance could have been highlighted more.
Tou tou cang bu zhu (2023)
A no stress to watch romance!
Let me tell you why I would recommend this series!
1. Usually, for a romance series especially KDramas the focus is on the qualities of an ideal boyfriend, this one is different. The focus is on the girl and the qualities of an ideal girlfriend. You will love the female character here!
2. No stress. This just shows that series can also be that good even without stressful scenes in which again most of the series are also focused on. This one, though it still has will not stress you out, promise. This is very light to watch.
3. The lines or script. I think this is one of the best romance series which has beautiful lines. You will really feel the emotions with every line. Combine it with a very strong visuals, certainly you will be in a rollercoaster ride of emotions!
4. The soundtrack! The songs used are sooooo good. It exemplies the evoked feelings as you watch. Timing is really good!
5. I love the harmonious relationship of the girl's family here that I actually think it would be really cool to have a family like that. You will also love them.
All in all, this is a must watch. Remember that this is a romance series so don't expect much on the plot. It could be linear but give it a try and treat yourself!

Where is the hate for NDS coming from?
But before that, I would like to agree that this series really started strong. In fact, I think it has one of the best pilot episode. However, viewers are also right that after the reveal it has gone quite problematic like there is so much awkwardness in the characters resulting to like a running in circles with the plot. The usual broke up and then chase, then end up together scheme. Adding to the disappointment would be the after 3 years! Imagine, the gap is longer than the actual times the characters were all seen together! It has become really awkward for me after that.
And as for a justification that NDS should be the one for her also came from Jin Pyeong himself! It has been 15 years since the letters and he did not do anything in that span of time like shown any interest to her. And NDS coming into view makes the battle for her just equal, like the two are just starting equally. And we can clearly see in the series that indeed NDS did a lot to win the girl. It could have been different for Jin Pyeong if he had shown any interest in that 15 years. I would really feel bad for him if the series showed this, but there is clearly no effort. So NDS wins, fair and square.
Gaet-na-eul cha-cha-cha (2021)
Not a typical RomCom!
Try this one. This is a very special KDrama. It doesn't just focus on romance. It includes stories about family, recovery, relationship, heartbreaks, love, personality, identity.. a lot more! You will be surprised on how you watch an episode one after the other. Another special thing about this one is the storyline did not just revolve around the main characters. Everyone here is like a main character. The first time i should say that I fell in love with all of the characters in a tv series. Gobe this a try and i know you will bot regret it, promise! This is probably one of the best Kdrama there is!
Purple Hearts (2022)
I don't get the bad rating for this movie.
There is too much hate in the world already and give this romantic movie a break y'all. First, why be so critical on a romantic movie? I just don't get it. The movie is like a breather especially when you have seen a lot of serious movies or series. Appreciate the simplicity and immense yourself into something that somehow would allow yourself to escape reality. Who wouldn't like to have a love story like theirs? This movie tells us how great it is to have someone who really loves us and I guess the poor critiques are all so bitter enough that they fail to see the beauty of falling in love or they are too serious with their lives having no time for some love.
And the actors here really did a fantastic job! They mirror the realities of true people - that in life it is not always a happy day. You can really feel the hurt in their acting. It's like a rollercoaster ride with them.
I wished though it could have been longer. Like what we say in the Philippines, it's "Bitin". But, still a good movie. Watch this!
Elvis (2022)
Maybe the first movie I hated Tom Hanks
This is one is an incredibly sad movie. I can't help but feel sorry for what Elvis had experienced throughout his career, yes, he had become one of the most successful icons in the music industry but I think it was unfair to have experienced those things. Funny how fame can bring happiness and sadness at the same time.
I really didn't know Elvis. I watched this as he was my late father's favorite. As a huge Britney Spears fan, I can see the connection between their lives. And this has made me somehow to emphatize. :(
This Is Us: Us (2022)
Maybe not the ending we are expecting
This is a good episode, however, for me, not worthy as a finale. The Train could have been the better ending. Well, the last episode took a bold risk of keeping to its element of putting special memories together to tell a story. They could have just considered a funeral where the big three shares their eulogies and in the end we find out that Rebecca also prepared something for her funeral. But then again, This is us sticks to it creative way of storytelling. Putting together moments where we the viewers may learn a lesson like appreciating each moment before it becomes a memory, that we when were young excited to grow up and then when we're already adults we wish to go back.
Honestly, I am a bit disappointed (Id given it a 9 as my way of showing I still appreciated the series). While watching, can't help but think how are these scenes selected, why this particular timeline.. i am sure from the scenes where they were children to young adults there could have been more special memories, but why this.
Also, who finds it weird during the cottage scene it could go like complete quietness and then when they speak there's this chirping of birds that go with them as they speak. Sound mixing in this part is annoying, volume goes up when they start speaking, fades, complete silence and then volume goes up again.
I wish also they have shown the concert scene of Jack more with montage of very special moments..
This Is Us: The Train (2022)
Great metaphor of the realities of life
I must say this episode pretty sums up all the good things we like about this TV series. This series focused on life and what really happens in it. Rebecca on that train is a beautiful depiction of what I hear happens when someone is nearing passing on - the flash backs. The characters really do have their own stories to tell and with each story comes this a bit of a heartache cos this has made you feel good in one way or another. I also love how this series until the end stick on its theme of the role of memories in one's life, like for each episode there is this accompanying life story that goes with the current experience. This is already sad, how much more will the last episode be? I think I am not ready for it.
Rescued by Ruby (2022)
This movie will touch you.
The movie centers on the what Faith and Trust can do to people. The ending really got me. I didn't see it coming. I totally, balled out. This is a great family movie. You'll end up like wanting to have a dog.
This Is Us: The Challenger (2022)
Started slow.
The episode started slow like its preparing us for a major blow mid of the season. I don't know about the other viewers, it's like every episode of the series there is something that's squeezing your heart causing it like its slowing down. I am not really prepared for this series to end. Huhu.
Lucifer (2016)
Used to love this series.
Seriously used to love the series, however, S6 like's a standalone season. Cannot find connections of the 6th to the rest, like it has lost its depth. The 6th season is a far cry from the season where Cain was present, like you certainly would feel a lot of emotions. It just felt like watching S6 that I need to finish this for closure.
The Kissing Booth 3 (2021)
What's the point then for Kissing Booth 1?
The movie is just weird. Like, there's no storyline at all.. a bunch of scenes knitted together and making no sense at all and then giving you a 6 years later at the end. What's the point of Kissing Booth 1 then. It's just like watching an episode of a tv series.
Sex/Life (2021)
Story of a stupid, horny woman.
Well, if you want some erotic scenes and lots of sex, this one's for you. However, if you're going for the storyline - no way, it is just about a horny, stupid woman who at the first place should not get married. Also, I wonder, how horny are the scriptwriters of this series.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Do not overthink, just enjoy the show.
Well, yeah, the movie definitely has parts where you could ask so many questions but the cinematography, effects.. just wow.
Élite (2018)
No storyline, lots of sex
Am I watching soft porn here? The first 2 episodes there are already lots of nudity and sex. And are the elite teenagers in Spain really like this? Not just teenagers but high school students. Sorry, but Elite is going down with this season.
This Is Us: The Adirondacks (2021)
Forget the first 3 episodes!
Haha! I really don't know what happened with the first 3 episodes but I almost lost the enthusiasm watching the series. But given its track record of recovering after a sad and heartache filled episode, I stick to it and damn S5 is simply the reason why you must hold onto it. The last episode is epic like you just want to know what happened. It's This is Us so you just can't know. Can't wait for S6!
This Is Us (2016)
This one is an easy to make as a favorite.
I absolutely love this show. It's like you never know what is going to happen. The storytelling is unique. You really get to know the characters well!
This Is Us: Super Bowl Sunday (2018)
That was a good cry
The episode destroyed me. How can this be so sad yet still feel so good. Awesome episode.
Upload (2020)
It is like a non animated Coco
This one is surprisingly good. This covers life in the afterlife. The series will also give you the feels and just watching Robbie for an entire stretch of a tv series is already a treat - like watching a Tom Cruise in a tv series.
The Willoughbys (2020)
Never mind the bad reviews!
I dont get it why this movie has low rating. But to tell you, this is one of most honest movies there is. Just it does not fill in the usual theme you look for an animated movie, you're gonna give it a low score. See the movie for yourself and see how this one hits home. Such a sad one yet will still give you hope.
Friends: The Reunion (2021)
They always get me everytime.
The first few minutes where they enter one by one simply enough to give you the chills. I wonder what would have it felt like for each one of them seeing the set once again. This has this unexplainable impact to me imagine how much more of an impact it has for the cast. Seeing them together is like reuniting with a family. Growing up I used just to see shorts of episodes only until I decided to watch in Netflix I realized what kind of a gem this is. The friendshipnthey establised in the show is an evidence firndship lasts forever. This is a posituve light in this timenof pandemic and the timing could have been not more perfect.
Breaking Bad (2008)
Slow paced
Updated.
Stick to this series! S1 AND S2 will bore you out (it's still true that a few episodes could be squeezed into 1) but come S3, things just got more exciting and episodes have become more interesting to watch. What I like about the series is a VERY SOLID storyline. Simple and not that complex thus giving opportunity for an elaborate plot.
Julie and the Phantoms (2020)
Cool TV series
This is quite refreshing. Like so much the energy! But I hope, they consider not singing all the time and investing on a meaty storyline so that talent would not be wasted, they are really great actors.
