The first WrestleMania ever where a woman's match is the main event.
First WrestleMania to not feature the Undertaker since 2000. Undertaker since his debut in late 1990 has only missed 3 WrestleManias WrestleMania X (1994) WrestleMania XVI (2000) & WrestleMania XXXV (2019).
The lead up to the match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship was reminiscent to Daniel Bryan's quest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. Kofi was a last minute replacement to the Elimination Chamber match a month earlier and was the last superstar eliminated by Daniel Bryan in the match, but not without a grueling fight that left the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats. From there, the WWE Universe and just about every other superstar on the roster was pushing for Kofi to get another shot at the title (including Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, essentially making it Daniel Bryan vs The Authority again but with a double-turn), and Daniel Bryan himself and Vince McMahon were trying everything to prevent him from getting his opportunity (with Bryan actually calling Kofi "a B+ player", like he was called by Hunter and Steph back in the day).
Billie Kay came out dressed in a headgear reminiscent of the Disney character, Maleficent.
Batista's first WrestleMania since WrestleMania XXX (2014), it is also his final WrestleMania appearance.
