Laura and Wednesday are reunited for only the briefest time on American Gods Season 3 Episode 6.
They're no longer the couple in love they once were, and her fixation on killing kind of turns Shadow's stomach.
Even if Wednesday has done enough harm in his life to warrant an execution, he's also trying to turn that ship around before it's too late.
Given how the episode progressed, I wonder if there is a parallel between Wednesday and Demeter with regard to Shadow and Laura.
The only parallel that comes to mind is that Shadow has had the good fortune to say goodbye to his wife while they were still on good terms, not once, but twice now.
Wednesday's story with Demeter took a far more tragic journey.
From the moment they set eyes on each other, Wednesday and Demeter were smitten. But while Tyr had spent a good amount of time...

Bruce Wemple sure has a thing for monsters in the woods. And we cannot decide if he loves or hates upstate New York either as his last horror films, Monstrous and Lake Artifact, also take place in the region. Anyways, his new film The Retreat was picked up by Uncork’d Entertainment and they plan to release the film on DVD and Digital on November 10th. Screen Anarchy has your first look at the trailer and a couple shots of the creature too. Check them out below. The Wendigo goes to New York this November! There’s something waiting in the mountains this November. The Wendigo takes to New York in Uncork’d Entertainment’s The Retreat! From director Bruce Wemple (Monstrous), and starring...

Valve’s controversial Ccg project Artifact will be getting a new single-player mode as part of the title’s overhaul updates.
“We are doubling down on that effort through a single-player campaign which will both teach new players the game and continue the story that began with A Call To Arms,” says Valve via a Steam blog update. “Tying into our progressions systems, we want people to feel rewarded no matter which way they choose to play the game, whether it be in competitive play or the campaign.”
As Valve points out, this single-player game will not only capitalize on the fact that there is actually a story in Artifact (we wouldn’t blame you for not knowing that), but that Artifact is based on the rich lore of the Dota 2 universe. Much like Riot is showing with their League of Legends spin-offs, there are, theoretically, quite a few stories...

Star Trek: Picard wrapped up its first season with a grand finale last week, one that featured the return of Riker to Starfleet, the (second) death of Data, the demise and resurrection of Jean-Luc himself and much more. Given how packed it was, there wasn’t room to tie everything up in a neat bow, leaving fans scratching their heads over certain things that weren’t resolved. For instance, here’s a big one: what happened to the ex-Borg?
Seven of Nine, having become a temporary Borg Queen in a previous episode, piloted the Artifact to Coppelius to aid Picard in his battle with the Romulans. The Borg Cube was brought down on the planet, though, leaving the xBs stranded on the synth world. By the end of the episode, Seven had decided to become part of Picard’s crew on board La Sirena. But, uh, what happened to all...

Valve has slowly started to reveal details regarding their planned redesign/relaunch of Artifact: the studio’s previously launched that failed to find much of an audience.
So far as that goes, we have to start with what will likely be the most welcome and impact anticipated change to the game. According to Valve, the company is looking at ways to completely revamp the game’s monetization system. It seems that the plan is to no longer offer players the chance to purchase individual cards and packs. While it certainly seems like the specifics are being worked out, the plan at this moment is apparently to only offer cards through gameplay.
This would have an interesting dual-effect on the game. Theoretically, it would invalidate players existing decks as well as their hopes to play the market. While that may frustrate the few how have stuck with Artifact to this point,...
