- TriviaFirst episode with no Kate or Randall appearance
- GoofsIn other episodes people say that Jack and Rebecca have only known each other for a week before they go to L.A. When they meet he only had 9 bucks, and is unemployed so it seems odd that a week later he has enough money to pay for hotels, food and gas to get to L.A and back. However, he could have had some saved money still left that he didn't gamble and lose due to being robbed. His mom could have had savings, and he could lend from her and/or her friend. He also was repairing cars of people he knew and asking them to recommend him to their friends, so he could have earned some money that way, too.

Disappointment and Elation
With Toby finally getting up and around, we have some assuredness that this relationship will settle down. Audio, the dog, plays an important part in this. There are two principle stories. Rebecca wants to go to Los Angeles to meet with music people (to be discovered, if you will). So she and Jack head off. Jack has a visit he wants to make, and Rebecca naively thinks she is so good she will be embraced by this gigantic record industry. Her audition goes Ok but does she have anything that makes her stand out? Apparently, nothing that they see. In the third story, Kevin and Zoe are off to Vietnam to try to find a woman who may have been involved with Jack during the war. And the war takes over as Jack searches for his brother, who is really messed up. Now, there are some disappointments in these developments but for each there is growth.
