Rollo: [Fiercely] I love you. And I love my children. But, I cannot deny that part of me which is still Viking. No matter how hard I try.
Princess Gisla: Perhaps you don't try hard enough.
Rollo: [Softly, desperately trying to make her understand] When you... you hear thunder... it's only thunder. But for me,
[fierce again]

Rollo rolls the dice
Ah, but the French and their great hero Rollo are back. What is he going to do now that Bjorn and the rest of the Vikings have come to the coasts of his territories? Wage war? Let them go through and give them safe passage?
Rollo is back, and with him, we get an action packed, amazingly atmospheric, with good plot and character's development, episode. "Two Journeys" keeps everything going, and gives the viewer lots to enjoy and think about. Do you want action? You get action. Do you want dialogue? You get that too. Dreams and surprises? That too.
It is not only Bjorn's and the rest clashing with Rollo. It is also about Lagertha's desires and about Ragnar and Ivar's relationship. All characters get things to do, and purposes that make sense, even if Ragnar and Ivar's storyline seems to be there in part because Ragnar is who he is. It is not as interesting as previous of his adventures, and Ivar's character is actually the thing that is giving it some life.
"Two Journeys" has a little bit for everyone: dialogue, action, cunning and treachery. And much more to come.
