The previous teasers for The Blackcoat's Daughter director Osgood Perkins' next feature, Longlegs, have been very effective in building an aura of unsettling dread around the mysterious horror flick, but this latest trailer really takes things to another level.
Though the movie is still playing things relatively close to the chest when it comes to revealing specific plot details, this footage does give us a little more to go on, as rookie FBI agent Lee Harker (It Follows star Maika Monroe) becomes obsessed with tracking down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families - and might just have supernatural abilities.
Harker has a personal connection to the killer (did she survive an earlier attack?), which leads her down an even darker path and into the world of the Occult.
Say your prayers, check out the new trailer and poster below along with the initial social media reactions, and...

Horror fans have been keeping a very close eye on director Osgood Perkins' next project, and the first social media reactions for the mysterious Longlegs are in.
These reactions are highly positive, and it sounds like the movie is a genuinely disturbing, terrifying experience.
Though Longlegs definitely seems to be keeping its biggest secrets firmly under wraps for the time being (and the teasers are all the better for it), we do know that the plot revolves around a rookie FBI agent (It Follows star Maika Monroe) attempting to track down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families.
Cage's character has largely been kept out of the marketing, aside from one unsettling shot.
Check out the social media posts below, and keep an eye out for a new trailer.

With shooting set to start imminently, reports are suggesting that Jodie Comer may be starring in Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later.
Fans of 2002’s 28 Days Later are all too aware of the decades-long gap that exists between Danny Boyle’s 2002 zombie horror and his follow-up, expected to release in cinemas sometime next year. While it might not quite be 28 Years Later, as the upcoming film’s title suggests, it won’t be far off – in fact, it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for this film to happen.
Still, every nugget of news we’ve heard thus far has made the waiting worthwhile.
Boyle returning to direct; Alex Garland once again writing the script; Cillian Murphy making himself available to return. Sony backing the project with around $60m, precisely the kind of sum that should mean the project should have some creative leeway.
It’s all welcome news.

“Hallelujah,” was the message from BFI Filmmaking Fund director Mia Bays as she took to the stage at Glasgow Film Festival on March 7, to celebrate the next generation of UK talent.
“[Representation] has transformed over the past few years,” said Bays, who pointed towards the post-Times Up and MeToo movements and the impact of BFI’s diversity and inclusion targets as part of what has helped drive the opportunity for new voices to break through.
“One of my favourite terms is ‘opportunity hoarding’. There are lots of people who just sat on those opportunities, who have kept them. All of those conversations have led to this.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has found his next role in David Mackenzie’s heist thriller “Fuze,” which Anton will launch at the European Film Market in Berlin this month.
The film reunites Taylor-Johnson and “Hell or High Water” helmer Mackenzie, who last worked together on 2018’s “Outlaw King.” With a script from Ben Hopkins, “Fuze” “opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, sparking a mass evacuation – the perfect cover for a heist,” according to the film’s synopsis.
Taylor-Johnson’s stacked project lineup currently includes the headlining role in Marvel’s “Kraven and the Hunter,” due out in August; “The Fall Guy” alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt; and Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated “Nosferatu.” Mackenzie’s 2016 neo-Western “Hell or High Water” scored four Oscar noms, including best picture, and he’s also set to direct “Relay” starring Lily James, Riz Ahmed and Sam Worthington.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to reunite with director David Mackenzie as the star of upcoming heist thriller Fuze.
The pair previously worked together on Mackenzie’s 2018 Robert the Bruce drama Outlaw King, which followed heist drama Hell or High Water.
Written by Ben Hopkins, Fuze opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, sparking a mass evacuation, which the serves as perfect cover for a heist.
‘I had the idea of combining all the high stakes of an unexploded bomb with that of a bank robbery – clashing these two genres to create as much pressure as possible in a context that feels as real as possible. Ben Hopkins took those ingredients and cooked up the compelling script that we are now taking into production,” said Mackenzie.
The film is produced by Gillian Berrie for Sigma Films and Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant for Anton.
Giles Nuttgens joins Mackenzie’s creative team as director of photography after previously collaborating together on Hell or High Water.
’Together David Mackenzie and Dp, Giles Nuttgens are dynamos. Just add Aaron Taylor-Johnson and we have the Midas touch for this whirlwind movie,” said Berrie.
Anton is financing and will be selling the world rights at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin and will present a sizzle reel for the film.
David is uniquely talented at pairing large-scale filmmaking with truly unique characters. Fuze melds the relentless tension of a bomb movie to the heist genre,” said Anton’s Raybaud and Grant.
UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent will co-rep the US rights with Anton.
Taylor-Johnson is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern, Llp. David Mackenzie is repped by UTA, United Agents in London, and Alan Wertheimer and Kim Jaime. Gillian Berrie is repped by UTA, United Agents in London, and Alan Wertheimer and Kim Jaime. The new year brings us the first installment of "Under the Radar" in 2024 and, with January having drawn to a close, it's worth looking back and taking stock of how no matter how much things change, the more things stay the same. Well, that's kind of like how Hollywood tends to approach the month of January -- except maybe without the "best intentions" part.

Actress Jodie Comer was joined by 15 different babies on the set of ‘The End We Start From’. The 30-year-old actress stars as a mother, who navigates flooding and civil unrest in the new survival film, and she found it tough to work with so many different babies during the shoot.
“The babies are allowed on set for 20 minutes and then they have to go, so you’re often having to adapt to that.”
“Sometimes you could be in a very honest moment with the baby, you know, the baby’s giving you something that makes you react in a certain way, and then you have to try and recreate that with a doll — it’s difficult,” she explained to Sky News, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“And sometimes the kind of terrain we were working on when we were filming in Scotland, you can’t have the baby, or if you were in a boat.

If you could become a TV or film character – either one you’ve played or not – for a week, who would you be? Doartpho
At the moment, I’d like to be Mary Poppins, because she’s incredibly efficient and I need to tidy my apartment. Being her for a week would help me out massively. I’d like to see what Chloe Gemell from My Mad Fat Diary is doing. I wonder where she is now, what she’s up to? She’s very innocent, which I enjoyed.
How would your most famous roles have differed had you chosen to play them with your natural Liverpudlian accent? TopTramp
They probably would have differed quite a lot, although I feel Villanelle [from Killing Eve] would suit being a scouser.

The 2022 best-seller is a coming-of-age story set in the shadows of the oncoming World War Two. It tells the story of an ‘unmarriageable girl’, Cristobel, electing to defy convention and find her own path through life. As Cristabel grows into a headstrong young woman, World War II approaches and she and her brother become British secret agents on separate missions in Nazi-occupied France.
The book hit best-seller lists in the UK and U.S. and has sold into 14 further territories worldwide since its release. No network is attached as of yet to the TV version.
Whalebone Theatre is the latest project for Hera, the drama indie run by former Channel 4 drama boss Liza Marshall that finds itself in rude health.
