- GoofsAfter Lt. Caine and Delko find the tanks of Halon on the roof, Horatio is shown handling one of the tanks with his bare hands. This would have compromised any fingerprints on the tank. And he did this in spite of the fact that he had just been shown with latex gloves.
- Quotes
Lieutenant Horatio Caine: Keith, listen to me. When someone lies to me, it really, really hurts my feelings. You're Starling's boy. You've been with him the whole time, right? Go.
Eric Delko: How did he get you to do it? Money?
Keith Garwood: You cops are all the same. You think people are just motivated by money.
Eric Delko: We know you worship Starling. How did he convince you to kill a cop?
Keith Garwood: What are you talking about? Nobody said...
Lieutenant Horatio Caine: A police officer was killed. A police officer was murdered. That's on you. In the state of Florida, Keith, it's a mandatory death sentence.

It turns out someone put the toxic gas "Halon" in the air conditioning ducts for the CSI floor. CSI boss "Horatio Caine," out on assignment, arrives in time to see the bodies. He shoots out the glass to bring some fresh air into the room. All revive within minutes except for one: "Jesse Cardoza" (Eddie Cibrian) who is dead.
Old nemesis "Bob Starling" (Roger Bart) is behind the attack, and we learn he also had an accomplice. Bart is good in this role as a psycho-killer and interesting to watch.
Kristen Hager is also good as Starling's partner, "Melissa Walls," another baddie. Both she and Starling are tough adversaries not just because they are determined but they're very intelligent people. They aren't easy to catch. to say the least.
This season opener is a good one - not the greatest they've had in nine years - but still one which will entertain you. I'm just sorry that "Jesse" is no longer on the show. I liked him.
