There is nothing like having friends over for a good meal and conversation. That’s the basis for AMC Networks’ In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin. The series on AMC+ and IFC shows the renowned actor, writer, and entrepreneur Harry Hamlin cooking delicious dishes with his niece and Le Cordon Bleu School-trained chef Renee Guilbault for famous guests. The pair hosted a holiday special with a similar format, which ended up being just the appetizer for what was to come. Each of the five episodes brings in another star-filled dinner party including Hamlin’s wife Lisa Rinna (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Ted Danson (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Mary Steenburgen (Book Club), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Tongayi Chirisa (Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches) and Ed Begley Jr. (Better Call Saul) to name a few. Here Guilbault shares what it was like growing up with her Uncle Harry,...

Alexandra Daddario looked ready for the summer in a flowery Dolce & Gabbana midi dress as she attended the 2024 Monaco F1 Grand Prix.
She stood out in the colorful dress among the white-clad Circuit de Monaco crowd, including Heidi Klum, Leni Olumi Klum, and Winnie Harlow.
Alexandra Daddario recently completed filming for the second season of AMC’s “Mayfair Witches,” where she stars Rowan Fielding, the heir to the powerful Mayfair dynasty. Throughout the series, she is primarily seen in dark, enigmatic outfits, which create a striking contrast to her vibrant ensemble at her latest public appearance.

Mark Johnson has produced some of the most distinctive movies and TV shows of the past 40 years. Think “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “Rain Man,” “The Notebook,” “The Holdovers,” “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.”
Yet Johnson was a surprise choice by AMC Networks to lead its massive investment in building out the Anne Rice literary universe in multiple TV series. AMC bought the TV rights to Rice’s literary vault of Southern Gothic vampire tales in 2020.
Four years later, AMC has two successful Rice-based series on the air — “Interview With the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches” — and a third hot prospect in development: “Talamasca,” which explores a mysterious society within the Rice universe. Johnson had little experience with the fantasy and horror genres. But he was the perfect person to steer the Rice initiative, in part because he’s not steeped in the conventions and tropes of fantasy fiction, according to Dan McDermott,...

A spasmodic love triangle spanning centuries or maybe even a polyamorous tryst acknowledged in silence. How does it feel, as fans of this daringly intense show, to be the only few who’d ever understand what I’ve just said, and how something like that could exist? It’s an odd privilege for us—not for Daniel, mind you—to hear this unreliable tale from the mouths of poetic undead orators. In Interview With the Vampire episode 3, the story has reached the point where Armand’s efforts to make himself appear benign are evident. And I hope Daniel’s paying attention.
Spoiler Alert
How did Armand and Lestat meet?
So, I guess everyone everywhere, at some point in their life, has been in love with Lestat de Lioncourt? From what Armand describes of his 15th-century existence, it seems the real gift of vampirism had eluded him before Lestat walked into Paris.

Orphan Black is one of the finest sci-fi TV shows, so a new story set in that universe will always be interesting.
Orphan Black: Echoes is the name of the next chapter, and while it will be similar to its predecessor, it will also have some notable changes.
The original Orphan Black focused on a series of clones flawlessly played by Tatiana Maslany.
Each clone had distinct personalities and mannerisms, showcasing Maslany’s impressive range. It will be interesting to see if the new show implements clones and how they’ll be played.

Plot: As Louis and Claudia escape to Paris after killing Lestat, and are ready to embark on new relationships in the new city. But they find themselves in a world influenced by Lestat, especially when they join the Theatre de Vampires, a performing group found by Lestat.
Review: Timed perfectly to Halloween, the 2022 debut of Interview with the Vampire beautifully updated the first volume in Anne Rice’s vast series for a new generation. With a young cast and a more overt take on the homoerotic elements of the novels, AMC’s series was designed to kickstart a cinematic universe of adaptations from the author’s works. While Mayfair Witches did not work as well, the second season of Interview with the Vampire is a welcome return to the stories of Louis, Claudia, Lestat, and more. Billed as “Part II,” the second season chronicles the back half of Rice’s novel.

Interview with the Vampire Season 2: Cast, plot, premiere date, and everything else there is to know
The timeless love story at the heart of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire won many fans in 2022, but with increased delays for the second season, a lot has changed during the extended hiatus.
It’s rare for a vampire drama to offer more than it borrows from the genre, but the show managed to break through armed with many of Anne Rice’s unique storylines from the novel series.
At the time of its launch, AMC was losing The Walking Dead as the long-running zombie drama signed off after 11 seasons, so new franchises were in demand by the cabler.
Interview with the Vampire broke through with critical acclaim. The show garnered plenty of praise and solid ratings, resulting in a very early renewal for Season 2.
Now that new episodes are approaching, we must review everything we know about the upcoming season.
Get all the details below.

There’s light at the end of the tunnel for Snowpiercer, after all.
The post-apocalyptic drama on wheels was canceled after three seasons by TNT in January 2023, despite previously scoring a renewal for a fourth — and final — season.
At the time of the cancellation, the entirety of the fourth season was in the can, meaning that an ending had been filmed, but producers would need to find a new outlet to air the episodes.
Truthfully, we lost hope the episodes would see the light of day because it was the latest in a long line of financially driven decisions by Warner Bros. Discovery, which had already scrapped the already-completed Batgirl movie, among other things.
As the weeks turned into months, the chance of Snowpiercer securing a home to air its final-ever episodes looked bleak … until AMC stepped up to the plate this week.

There are some hardcore Trekkies in the world who consider Dean Parisot's 1999 comedy to be the best "Star Trek" movie. The main characters in Parisot's film are all struggling actors, still most fondly remembered for their work on a short-lived cult sci-fi series from decades prior. The in-universe show, called "Galaxy Quest," resembles "Star Trek" in several key ways, and the egotistical lead actor Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen), who played the captain of the starship Protector on "Galaxy Quest," was clearly modeled after William Shatner.
The plot of "Galaxy Quest" is amusing: a species of shapeshifting aliens, requiring defense from marauders, recruit the original "Galaxy Quest" actors to serve as their champions. The aliens assumed that rogue TV broadcasts they once saw were very real and have recreated "Galaxy Quest" in real life. The put-upon thespians don't have the heart to explain to the aliens that their show is...

It's been almost a year since we last saw Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding in the Mayfair Witches, but Season 2 is coming.
Mayfair Witches Season 1 ended with some bombshell moments, from Rowan's father's identity being uncovered to the birth of Rowan's child, and ultimately, the powerful line, "You can't control me," which resonates with all of Rowan's character.

Jack Huston has worked with Scorsese, Ridley Scott, David O’ Russell, The Coens, had meaty roles on series like Mayfair Witches, Fargo, and, maybe most notably, Boardwalk Empire, where he played Richard Harrow. While its title and its availability on AMC+ (in addition to Sundance Now) might suggest otherwise, Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale is less akin to Interview With the Vampire or Mayfair Witches than to crime dramas like Big Little Lies or Mare of Easttown — albeit with less prestige gloss and more janky CG. Though that comparison doesn’t feel quite right, either.
What’s most memorable about the series is neither its supernatural elements, which are only vaguely explained, nor even really its central murder mystery. It’s the clear and unsparing portrait of its villain, a woman who weaponizes her genuine grief over the death of her son into a literal witch hunt, with shocking and horrifying results.
Upon first glance, Sanctuary looks every inch the Edenic retreat suggested by its name, a cluster of picturesque homes nestled amid rolling green hills. During a picnic for new neighbors, Sarah (Elaine Cassidy...

Harry Hamlin made his famous spaghetti Bolognese for the cast, including his wife, Lisa Rinna, in Season 11, and it was a bigger hit than a slap from Brandi Glanville. So it’s no wonder AMC asked the Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches actor to do his own cooking show, in which he’s joined by his niece Renee Guilbault, a Le Cordon Bleu–trained chef. That five-episode series debuts next May, but Hamlin is whetting our appetites with In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin: A Holiday Special to spice up the holidays. Dig in! Let’s talk about that Bolognese, since it’s become famous in its own right. Any chance you’ll reveal the recipe? Harry Hamlin: It’s got a life of its own! And you just might find it on grocery...

Max and AMC Networks CEOs Casey Bloys and Kristin Dolan say their cross-platform licensing collaboration experiment that ended this week was a success – and may become more common as the streaming landscape evolves.
“‘Interview with the Vampire’ was the newest show that they had, and ‘A Discovery of Witches’ also did pretty well,” HBO CEO Casey Bloys told TheWrap during a Thursday press event for HBO and Max. The executive noted the success was “not surprising” because these titles were new to Max subscribers.
“It was a nice experiment,” Bloys said. “I don’t know what it means for AMC+, but it is nice to have those titles on our on our service.”
From September 1 to October 31, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming offering Max added seven AMC originals to its platform. Those new additions included “Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire,” “Dark Winds,” “Gangs of London,” “Fear the Walking Dead,...

AMC Networks missed Wall Street expectations for revenue during its third quarter of fiscal year 2023, citing lower domestic advertising revenues and affiliate revenue as a reason for the 7% drop year over year. That fall was partly offset by streaming revenue growth.
During its third quarter, AMC reported net income of $67.9 million, which included non-controlling interests, or diluted earnings of $1.44 per share. Revenue fell 7% year over year to $636.95 million, the company announced Friday.
Adjusted earnings per share were reported as $1.85, an 11% drop year over year. Diluted earnings per share saw a 26% drop year over year.
According to analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research, the network behind “The Walking Dead” was expected to report earnings of $1.31 per share and revenue of $654.08 million.
Given the difficult advertising environment and the softness the company is seeing when it comes to content licensing revenues, AMC Networks dropped its year end 2023 revenue expectations from $2.8 billion to $2.7 billion.

Fans of Anne Rice’s novel will know not to expect smooth sailing for Louis and Claudia when they encounter the Théâtre des Vampires. That’s especially the case with Ben Daniels‘ Santiago, the leading vamp thespian of the Théâtre des Vampires who grows increasingly suspicious of the American vampires Louis and Claudia.
The series, which debuted last year, is a “modern, unforgettable retelling of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel.

Co-founder and CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival Gregg Schwenk muses that there are several reasons the fest, which will run Oct. 12-19 this year, has grown in popularity over the last 24 years. There are, of course, the movies: over 300 films this year, including about 100 features and over 200 shorts from countries all over the world. Some of the buzzy titles include Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers” and Todd Haynes’ “May December,” both looking to impact on the upcoming awards season. In addition, honors will be presented to several artists throughout the festival, including Artist of Distinction Patricia Clarkson, Legend Award recipient William Shatner and Icon Award honoree Eugenio Derbez.
And then there’s the location. “It’s hard to beat Newport Beach,” says Schwenk of the city south of Los Angeles, which includes gorgeous beaches and boat-filled harbors. “Our nature and beauty are world-renowned. And being only about an...
