Paul Le Roux was an evil genius and he used it for criminal activities without any compunction.
It was probably part of his genius that he spotted Manila to be the center of his empire-building. This in itself is a commentary of the sad state of the law enforcement and justice system in that part of the world.
That he nearly got away with his criminal activities in different parts of the world (murder, drug trafficking, gun running) speaks volumes about the shrewdness and agility of the Fat Man (no pun intended).
But, in the end, crime doesn't pay. It took a lot of things to bring him down: patience, the treachery of his most trusted lieutenant, dogged detective work, collaboration among different police establishments.
Does he show remorse? No. He still struts about with hubris intact in jail as an informant.
This is a good docuseries, and exposes Paul Le Roux as a "failed" man quite well. Just one slight observation: a number of the same scenes are repeated too often unnecessarily in different episodes.
