- TriviaThis episode marks the first time Doctor Who gets an explicit mention in the series.
- GoofsDuring Jack's flashback scenes, he is in pre-World War II and using the name Jack Harkness; however, he didn't use this alias until World War II according to the earlier episode Captain Jack Harkness (2007).
Though this may have been a goof, Captain Jack Harkness jumped through time going billions of years into the future where he was given the ability to not die for a very long time (The Parting of the Ways (2005)) before going back to earlier times. Though this isn't completely explained, as the Doctor said, time is "a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff."
- Quotes
[trying to catch a pterodactyl]
Ianto Jones: What exactly is your plan?
Captain Jack Harkness: I'm going to be the decoy.
Ianto Jones: And it will rip you to shreds.
Captain Jack Harkness: Dinosaurs? Had 'em for breakfast. Had to. Only source of pre-cooked food protein after the asteroid crashed. Long story.

A terrific trip down memory lane for the Torchwood team
In this penultimate episode from the second season, the Torchwood team are lured into a potentially fatal trap when a building they are exploring is wired to explode. Covered in debris and fighting to survive, the various team members remember how they were first introduced to Torchwood.
This is a great episode and its fragmented nature works well. The episode builds to a terrific climax, leaving the viewer ravenous for the final episode.
9 out of 10. This has been a cracking series and I dearly hope that many more seasons will follow.
