- TriviaWhen Rogue is sitting on the airplane's wing on her way to Muir Island, a man spots her, panics, and flags down a stewardess. In turn she laughs and walks away in disbelief. This is a reference to the infamous The Twilight Zone (1959) episode Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (1963) starring William Shatner.
- GoofsWhen Warren Worthington (Angel) is introduced, he has no connection to Xavier or the X-Men. It's even demonstrated that Cyclops and Professor X don't know who he is. In "Proteus: Part I" and other episodes throughout the series, flashbacks showing the first X-Men include one with big angelic wings on his shoulders. This same winged X-Man shows up in "Xavier Remembers" in a way that confirms he is Angel. Specifically, Xavier has a dream sequence where he sees the X-Men of past and present wearing their original costumes, then sees them transform into their current costumes. One of them is original X-Men uniform Angel, who transforms into Archangel.

This episode is jam-packed with things
There is a LOT happening, and the pace in which everything develos is high.. Many new characters are introduced and it is easy to see how people watching without (a lot of) background on the franchise could get confused.
But the story itself is good. And it is clearly to set up the stage for the episodes to come.
