- TriviaThis episode was originally supposed to be the opening episode of the fourth season, with "Homefront" being the finale of the third season.
- GoofsBefore Sisko realizes the O'Brien in the park is a changeling impostor, he says that the Defiant couldn't have gotten from DS9 to Earth that fast. It has been, at that point, 4 days since the attack on the power grid, and Sisko had already been on Earth for several days prior. That means Sisko believes the Defiant couldn't have gotten to Earth in about a week's time. Yet later on, Sisko calls the station for help, and the Defiant arrives at Earth in under a day.
- Quotes
Changeling: Let me ask you a question. How many Changelings do you think are here on Earth right at this moment?
Captain Sisko: I'm not going to play any guessing games with you.
Changeling: Ah. What if I were to tell you that there are only four on this entire planet? Huh? Not counting Constable Odo, of course. Think of it - just four of us. And look at the havoc we've wrought.

This episode was super-paranoid--even more than the first one. It also shows some of the worst parts of human nature--which I love. This is because all too often, the Star Trek future seems way too rosy and sweet. Here is evidence that people are still people! And, that Changelings aren't the only thing folks need to fear. Excellent and well worth seeing.
