- TriviaIn the last line of the episode, Luanne asks "Am I supposed to kill the pig?" In a later episode (Pigmalion - Season 7, Episode 9) her and Peggy would go on to accidentally kill a man dressed as a pig.
- GoofsDuring the flashback, you can clearly see a Jaws movie poster in Hank's room. However, the story takes place in February of 1975. Jaws didn't premier in theaters until June.
- Quotes
Hank: Does Bobby have a girlfriend?
[Reads Valentine]
Hank: "Happy Valentine's Day, Joseph. Love Bobby"? "Hey hot stuff"? Bobby, you can't give this to Joseph.
Bobby Hill: Why not? He IS hot stuff. You should see him skateboard.
Hank: Bobby, if you give a Valentine to a sixth grade boy, girls are gonna think you're... sensitive. Something like that could follow you the rest of your life. Now here's a candy for Joseph. It says, "Hey, You're O.K."
[Throws card in the trash]
Hank: We'll just put this card over here right now.

There's also a constant joke with Luanne and a subplot with Bobby that begins in a really hilarious way with him making a Valentine's Day card for Joseph, it's fun with Bobby!
