Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaIt is learned that Giles' nickname in his youth was Ripper. At one point, a prequel spin-off named "Ripper", detailing adventures of young Giles, was proposed.
- GoofsA vampire enters the Summers home after Angel by simply walking in the house, yet vampires must be invited into a home before they can enter. The "vampire" in this case is not an actual vampire, however, but merely another high school student who has transformed into the monster he was dressed as for Halloween. We see him as a human earlier, escorting a group of children while trick-or-treating. Presumably, the laws which prevent real vampires from entering a house uninvited do not apply in this case.
- Quotes
Cordelia Chase: Are you guys playing tonight?
Oz: At the Shelter Club.
Cordelia Chase: Is Mister "I'm the lead singer I'm so great I don't have to show up for my date or even call" gonna be there?
Oz: Yeah, you know, he's just going by "Devon" now.

Loads of Fun
These shows often depend on a creative way to create horror. Here, it is Halloween. First of all, that idiot principal saddles Buffy and her pals with taking kids trick or treating. He calls them juvenile delinquents and despises them, even though Buffy has saved his bacon a couple times. The creative twist is that any costumes purchased from a certain costume shop, will turn that person into that character. Only Willow makes a stupid ghost costume out of a sheet and is saved from becoming this. Spike is back and since Buffy and the others are vulnerable, having lost their identities, he decides its time to kill her. Spike is quite a character. When he gets in a tight spot he runs away to fight another day. He has a girlfriend, Drusilla, who is sort of a zombie. He dotes on her and hopes to resupply her with enough blood to get her back in action. Overall, there is much fun. Angel appears eventually. He and Buffy are getting closer all the time.
