"Super Bowl XL" wasn't the best played title game or for that matter game played in the world yet it was interesting and compelling just like any football game. It featured the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers against the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks in a game that had two teams that played rugged defense and both had powerful running backs and each had strong armed QB's. The game started out with not much 1st quarter yardage as Seattle killed their own drives by dropped passes, and when Pittsburgh had the ball they would take advantage with the quick and huge offensive line and power running game that moved the ball at will. Despite an off game from Steelers QB Big Ben the gadget and trick plays would prove right for Pittsburgh and it would surprise and keep the Seahawks defense off balance. WR Hines Ward would shine as game MVP with five catches for 123 receiving yards. The final was Steelers 21 and Seahawks 10. It was great to see one of the NFL's hardest working coaches finally hoist a Super Bowl trophy in Bill Cowher way to go Bill!
