A refreshing change of pace!!!
Barry Dingle is they type of film that doesn't get made anymore. Today's filmmaker's are so worried about offending people that they just produce the same saccharine garbage over and over again. Dingle bucks that trend.
It starts off with two very unlikable characters and takes us through their various misadventures. As the Dingles move from one amoral scheme to another, we are treated to hilarious scene after scene as the limits of "common decency" are pushed at every turn.
The casting is dead-on as every actor immerses themselves into their character and into Barry Dingle's warped world, which sadly isn't too far off from our world, although we wouldn't want to admit it.
And the film never cops out, it refuses to moralize and teach you a lesson. It lets the story play out as it should, for better of for worse (in this case, for the better).
If you're looking for a daring film that will make you laugh from beginning to end, pick up a copy of the DINGLE!!!!!
