We have some bad news for fans of Chapelwaite.
The horror drama will not be returning for a second season.
Co-creator and Executive Producer Jason Filardi took to X to share the sad news.
"I'm afraid Captain Boone's story ends on that beach of weathered, Maine sand," Filardi posted.
"There will be no Season 2. Thank you to all the Chapelwaite fans!"
Chapelwaite launched in August 2021, with the development of a second season being announced shortly after.
But with a lack of updates, fans were left pondering what would become of the series.
Unfortunately, it's likely that no episodes were produced for the planned second season, and Epix becoming MGM+ likely changed the streamer's priorities away from making the new season.
Set in the 1850s, the Chapelwaite follows Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody), who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher's Corners,...

With the WGA strike resolved, all eyes are on the SAG-AFTRA strike to see if a fair deal can be reached that compensates the actors for their contributions to the shows we know and love.
With production not underway on returning broadcast dramas and comedies, the likelihood of salvaging the 2023-24 TV season looks less likely by the day. That means shows like Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, and the One Chicago universe are eyeing much fewer episodes than usual.
Deadline reports that many networks are taking a prudent approach by trimming episode orders for their returning shows.
Studios, though, are pushing back because they want some more episodes to make restarting production worthwhile.
The outlet states that the concerns could lead to many shows securing renewals for the 2024-25 TV season to film two seasons back-to-back.
That would mean there would be episodes banked for early 2024 and more...

Because nostalgia remains the one trend that will never go out of style, television addicts were blessed with a flurry of memorable small-screen reunions in 2016.
Photos2016 in Review: Best Couples, Worst Sex, Most Super Villains, Underused Guest Stars, Brattiest Kids and More
These reunions came in many forms: The casts of Friends and High School Musical, for example, re-assembled on TV specials to discuss their fondest memories working together, while other ensembles — including that of Full House — straight-out reprised the characters that made them famous so many years ago.
It could be argued that no reunion blew more minds in...

In another segment of Couples You Never Knew Existed... While seated on Andy Cohen's couch Thursday night, Will & Grace star Megan Mullally spilled the tea about her short-lived fling with Michael J. Fox. Thanks to question from a fan caller, the actress did some time traveling to recall the handful of dates the two enjoyed in the '80s. "I remember being in the car and the car pulling up next and seeing him and people screaming and going crazy," she remembered. "We went go-kart racing and I won and then, I think that was the end." "I should have slowed down," she quipped. Of course, the two weren't single for long after that....

If you missed even a moment of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars, I have excellent news: ABC essentially replayed the entire thing on Tuesday night — and then added another full hour of footage.
It’s one thing for the competition series to stretch its performance shows to 120 minutes, when those are filled with actual content. But a two-hour results show, filled with video recaps and inane mini-concerts and endless footage of Bruno Tonioli shouting from behind the judges’ table — that’s just wrong.
To accommodate Monday’s presidential debate, the performance show was cut down to one busy hour,...

Could we be any more excited about NBC’s quasi-Friends reunion? Not likely, especially after viewing this first extended clip of the Central Perk Crew getting their ’90s reminisce on during Must See TV: An All Star Tribute to James Burrows (airing Feb. 21 at 9/8c).
RelatedFriends Reunion Scoop: Where’s Matthew Perry?
The 90-second clip kicks off with David Schwimmer explaining to host Andy Cohen how Burrows took him under his directorial wings during the show’s near-decade run, but it’s Lisa Kudrow who livens things up by sharing how the sitcom vet assigned iconic nicknames to each member of the cast.

New York -- Real-life husband and wife Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman will appear next spring in the New York premiere of Annapurna, the Sharr White play in which they starred together earlier this year at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles. Photos: Power Couples: At Home and at Work With 11 Hollywood Duos Offerman plays a dying cowboy-poet holed up in a filthy trailer in the wilds of Colorado, with Mullally as the wife who walked out on him twenty years earlier, returning for a rage-filled yet ultimately compassionate reunion. Bart DeLorenzo, who staged the L.A. premiere,

I remember chuckling at some of the Twilight fans that were so broken up when Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson’s fairy tale romance was ripped apart. But then yesterday happened, and I read the news that Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are no longer together.
I’m not joking. I feel… sad. And I’m not alone. “It’s ridiculous just how much the Amy Poehler/Will Arnett split is bumming me out. I’m listening to Sigur Ros, staring at the wall, numb,” tweeted EW’s Darren Franich.
Hyperbole, sort of, yet the couple — who had been together...
