Paulie Perrette may have left the entertainment world behind, but it seems like people have left her behind in the aftermath.
The former NCIS actress took to Twitter to open up about things she's learned in her time away from the spotlight.
"The most interesting thing about saying you are retired is checking who is or who is not still your friend. (She Can’T Help My Career Now?!?!?!) Fascinating! And Very Telling!" Perrette tweeted in a post that had the hashtags "Sociology major," "studying," "Hollywood," and "celebrities."
"Jsyk [Just so you know]! I have Way More than my share of Amazing friends and family I’m just here on earth studying this [Bizarre Human Experiment] and Wow! The entertainment industry is Crazy Crazy Crazy! Love y’all!!!" the former Abby Sciuto star wrote in a follow-up tweet.
“Their loss, Pauley. You are a good egg,” one fan said in response to the tweets.

Alright, so according to a new report from Soaps.com,we're about to see Bill plot out a new, big scandal. If this scandal works, it could definitely put him back in the driver's seat at Spencer Publications. This is why Bill is going to needs some very specialized help to pull it off. That's where this new guy Ken will come into play. It's being reported by both Soaps.com and TVinsider.com that Bill is going to hire a tech wiz guy named Ken to hack into the Spencer Publications computer files in an effort to retrieve the incriminating recording that Liam has of Bill confessing to setting the Spectra building on fire. Obviously, if Bill can get his hands on it, Liam would have nothing to continue blackmailing Bill with. That would set the stage for Bill to return and take back his company. The big question...

The final film in the trilogy, Hatchet 3 loses the series’ director, Adam Green, replacing him with Bj McDonnell, who has previously carved out a career as cam/steadicam operator on a ton of movies – including one of my all-time favourite flicks, How to Rob a Bank. However all is not lost as Green is still on board as the films guiding light and scriptwriter for this tale which picks up immediately where the second film left off.

He’s officially billed as Danny Woodburn, but to me he’ll always be Carl in Upn’s short-lived “X-Files” rip-off “Special Unit 2″, the show that proved you can be as generic and unoriginal as possible just as long as it’s damn entertaining. Of course, Woodburn has also starred in other shows, like “Seinfeld” and was recently one of the dwarfs in Tarsem Singh’s “Mirror Mirror”. Woodburn joins the foursome of Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Pete Ploszek as mutated superheroes tasked with saving the world in the Michael Bay-produced, Jonathan Liebesman-directed film. Woodburn will play Splinter, the ninja turtles’ master, a rat that somehow became a giant half-human/half-rat after getting doused with the same chemicals that turned the turtles into ninja turtles. Or at least, that was the original origins of the characters. Who the hell knows what Michael Bay and...

"Enterprise" took yet another drop in the Nielsen overnight metered market ratings, but still remained ahead of "Star Trek: Voyager" in its ratings at the same point six years ago.The Star Trek series pulled in a strong 6.6 rating/10 share. However, half the audience didn't stick around for "Special Unit 2," which dropped to a 3.6/5. Those numbers remain steady for the series."Enterprise" seems to be holding strong ground compared to other dramas. "Ed" on NBC only pulled in a 7.0/12 in the 8 o'clock hour. And the series easily beat "Dawson's Creek" on The WB, which scored a 4.3/6. "Dawson's Creek" is in the news this week because Sony, which produces the show, announced they would be shutting down its television operations because of cost concerns. According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC has greenlit a new fantasy cop show from Jim Kouf (Angel) and David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) titled Grimm. Inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales, the series is a:
…dark but fantastical cop drama about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales exist.
Kouf and Greenwalt are developing Grimm with executive producers Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. NBC have also ordered a pilot from Ron Moore entitled 17th Precinct which sees cops working in a town where the inhabitants have magical powers.
So, if we meld Grimm and 17th Precinct together, what do you get? Upn’s Special Unit 2, which aired in 2001.

We live in Fringe times. There’s an unsettling, cryptic, complex Pattern that unites us all—and makes us increasingly obsessed with a TV show or three or even 17 of ’em. In this case, it’s Fringe, the Fox series that began as a sort of inversion of The X-Files and has evolved into something more unusual, the most watchable genre series now on network television.
Fringe’s second season began this week in a new time slot (Thursdays, 9 p.m.), opposite some heavyweight competition (CSI, Grey’S Anatomy, Supernatural). Need to catch up? The first season debuted on DVD just last week. And look soon for a two-part interview with Joshua Jackson, one of its stars, on this website.

One Variety report about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse casting, and the Twilight world knows her name. She is Jodelle Ferland, and she has recently been announced (by both Variety and herself) as a new cast member for the third in the Twilight film series. Though her role is as yet unknown, Variety states that Ferland will portray "a vampire who has just been turned." While the barely there description could apply to a host of characters in Eclipse, the most prominent (female) vampress in the book series is Bree - a newborn vampire who survives the initial vampire showdown, but whose bloodlust for Bella puts her in a precarious circumstances. Ultimately, despite Carlisle's extension of an offering to care for and develop Bree's, ahem, socially responsible behavior, the Volturi guard present after the battle will not allow for it (pennance for her work with Victoria (to be portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard...

Established 1974! Our news column views rebranding.
Sci-fi TV
Effective tomorrow July 7, the Sci Fi Channel (a.k.a. Sci-fi and SciFi) rebrands itself. It’ll be, of course, Syfy (to recall Wifi), although we’ve also seen the new name styled SyFy and Syfy. This will take some getting used to, whatever one thinks of the merits of either phrase.
If you’re in New York City, you can visit Syfy’s “Imagination Playground,” a display of props and paraphernalia from the Channel’s programs at Rockefeller Center (just a few blocks over from the Starlog offices). It’s free and opens tomorrow (along with promotional appearances from such Syfy stars as Lou Diamond Phillips and Scare Tactics’ Tracy Morgan).
The very first official new Syfy series premieres tomorrow night (Tuesdays, 9 p.m.). It’s Warehouse 13, a sort of Men In Black meets The Librarian by way of Special Unit 2.

Michael Landes is extending his relationship with Fox Broadcasting Co. and 20th Century Fox Television.
Landes, who co-starred on David E. Kelley's dramedy The Wedding Bells for Fox and 20th TV, has signed a talent deal with the network and the studio.
Under the pact, 20th TV and Fox will develop a project for him targeted for the 2008-09 season.
"Michael is a great-looking leading man who is equally adept at comedy and drama," Fox executive vp casting Marcia Shulman said. "It was a no-brainer."
Landes, whose series credits include ABC's Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, UPN's Special Unit 2 and BBC's Love Soup, played wedding photographer David Conlon on Bells this past spring.
"He's just a charming, incredibly talented guy who I know is going to be a huge television star," 20th TV senior vp casting Sharon Klein said. "It's just a matter of time and finding him the right project."
Landes recently completed the Yari Film Group feature Addicted, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. He will next be seen in the Disney comedy College Road Trip.
Landes, whose theater credits include the male lead in the London West End production of When Harry Met Sally, is repped by Endeavor and attorneys Jason Sloane and Harris Hartman.

"24" executive producer Evan Katz has inked a new rich seven-figure overall deal with the series producer, 20th Century Fox Television, to continue on the real-time drama and develop new projects.
The new two-year pact, which has an option for a third, replaces Katz's existing two-year overall deal with 20th TV, which had another year on it.
"Even has done a fantastic job on '24'," 20th TV president Dana Walden said. "It's clearly such an important series for the studio, so we found it to be a very good business decision to (secure) every writer who is important to the series for as long as posasible, and Evan is at the top of that list."
Katz worked on several series at Paramount Network TV -- UPN's "Special Unit 2", which he created, "JAG" and "Seven Days" -- before he joined "24" at the beginning of the second season in 2003.
"The show's been very good to me in every way," Katz said of "24." "It's the first time I've been on a show that is an out-and-out commercial and critical success and has created a cultural footprint.

Sci Fi Channel has acquired rights to the off-network drama Star Trek: Enterprise along with several other series, made-for-TV movies and miniseries through a deal with CBS Paramount Domestic Television. Along with Enterprise, the deal includes exclusive cable rights to the classic series The Twilight Zone, which marks a renewal for the network; the show Tales From the Darkside; and such short-lived series as CBS' Threshold, starring Carla Gugino, and Wolf Lake, with Lou Diamond Phillips, as well as UPN's Jake 2.0, starring Christopher Gorham, and Haunted, featuring Matthew Fox. Other acquired titles include the series Kindred, the Embraced, Level 9, Special Unit 2 and All Souls. Sci Fi said it's planning to premiere Enterprise, a Star Trek prequel that stars Scott Bakula and ran from 2001-05 on UPN, in early fall. Tales From the Darkside will premiere later this year, and the other acquired series will debut sometime during the 2006-07 season.
Actor Michael Landes has signed a one-year talent holding deal with ABC and Touchstone Television. This year, Landes starred in the ABC/Touchstone comedy pilot Love Life. He will soon be on the small screen as the lead in the six-part BBC and BBC America series Love Soup, centering on an American writer in London. Landes was recently seen on the London stage in the theatrical adaptation of the 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally. His feature credits include Hart's War and Final Destination 2. He also starred in the UPN sci-fi drama Special Unit 2, which aired in 2001 and '02. Landes is repped by Endeavor, Leverage Management and attorney Jason Sloane.
